Would you play with an Asp?

Knowing exactly what an asp is, I would have to say no, I would not. I won't mention what it is for the sake of this thread, but I strongly advise people not to play with a poisonous snake.

of course id play with "A Stupid Person" but thats all i'd play with these days youknow... with all the poisoness snakes lying around...lol

See, if I'm full of venom, it won't have any left to kill you guys. That way, you all can play with the Asp.

First of all, give me a bit more info on asps first before I make a final decision. A picture or such would be nice. even the type of snake it is. (Viper, Cobra, rattle snake? I doubt it's an anaconda or boa)

Second, define play. Do you maen teasing it and just being a jerk to it, or do you actually mean play play, like doing something IT might enjoy?

Any snake, no matter how dangerous can be handled well if in trained hands. there are those unpredictable moments, but as long as it's a professional and there's a medical perosn nearby, it can be handled quite well.
And with any animal, if you do something that's fun for you but not for it, such as screwing around with it or 'playing' with it, it will react and fight back. This isn't just appliable to snakes.

Now, if it were something the snake might enjoy...if I were a safe distance away from the snake and I was throwing rats or something or whatever it likes to eat, to it then I would consider that play and I would probably do it. Might be in trouble tho when I run out.
Honestly tho, I'm rather stay away fromt he vemonous ones. Boa constrictors are more my kinds of snake (ohhhhhhh, the beauty of an emerald boa...)

For those who never knew, I am surprisingly a snake lover. I don't own one myself, but I would love to one day just raise one from birth. I do quite a bit of reading on snakes and I enjoy drawing them (and I think i do it quite well, a thank you) although I don't believe I've ever read on the asp. I mostly read up on Boas. (hrmmm...this just reminds me i gotta do some re-reading)
