Art XD My First Real CG!

Okay you guys, guess what? I GOT A CG PROGRAM!!! XD EEEEEEEEEEEEE! Adobe Photoshop 7.0! So, I'm still learning how to use the program... but you guys remember how I drew a chibi Miia for some m2a contest? Well, I re-CGed it. I got a little carried away with the shading. o_o;

I recommend paint shop pro, which I use ^^; much easier than photoshop...very easy to get along with ^_^

 

I remember your drawing. I like how you used just yellow and green for the scritchy background. Looks like you used cell-shading style, with gradient-painted sleeves tossed in. Nice of you to impliment a light source. (Heheh, sometimes I don't bother with one.)

It's a pretty good first CG! So are you gonna go with cell-shading, or try more airbrushed CGing (like how I do)?

 

I used to have PSP a looong time ago. o_o; But I dunno what happened. ^^ Photoshop isn't that hard once ya get to know it, I guess.

Airbrushed CGing... your style is pretty cool. ^_^ Do you just use the airbrush tool instead? How could I make my CG better?

 

hey great job....keep practicing...maybe you can re-CG it again when you get the hang of it...you lucky..I dont have a CGing program....I have MGIstudios...meh...stupid program...

Just for the sake of it...paint shop pro is free for 30 days. You can then put back the clock or uninstall/reinstall it when the times goes out to continue using it ^^; and there's no restrictions in the trial.

 

yep, those programs are way expensive


UFOtaku, how much did you pay for it? last time i checked photoshop 7 was about $700 @_@
i have Phothosop 6, bought it for 50 dollars to a stupid friend of mine who didnt even know what was it

 

nice job ufo. i recon you should maybe follow the cell-style, you do it well.
