CLAMP Works XXXH: Ever heard of it?

I noticed an ad in the back of Volume 1 of Tsubasa for XXXholic, which seems connected to Tsubasa's universe. They really remind me of characters and motifs from the second half of Cardcaptor Sakura (ie Master of the Clow) - namely, the dark-haired kid with glasses and the dark butterfly motif. Is that Hiiragizawa? Also, any general information on the series would be appreciated.

 

i dont know a lot about it. i just have some pics about and i really don't have any clue on who's the character and the story. but i saw a site that has quite a lot of things about xxxholic. ill check it out then give you some infos.

 

I have heard it but I have not read about it or plan to but both the series YokoburiKinura mentioned are being released by Del Rey in the there new manga line

i've read xxxholic and i think it's quite good at the end of the manga sakura enters the story. The main characters are funny and the book has a gothic feel. In the manga there are a load of items from other clamp novels like sakuras wand! I do recommend this manga though

XXXH is a manga that is about a young man(I forget his name, it's really long and I think it starts with a "T")and he can see ghosts.

One day he is drawn to a house and inside the house is a mysterious woman and her name is Yuki and the house is not a house, it's a shop.
Well the young man gets his fortune told by Yuki and in return he has to work for the shop because he doesn't have anything to pay with.

It's pretty funny. I don't know all the details but it's good and definetly worth looking into.

 

I have the first volume and actually found it by chance at the bookstore. Iya technically sums up what happens in the beginning. But the womans name is Yuko (her first name), Ichihara Yuko is a witch who grants wishes. Except there's a twist to the way she grants her wishes. The young man who looks a bit like Eriol Hiiragizawa, his name is Kimihiro Watanuki. Watanuki, being his first name,has the Kanji characters meaning April first. He is roped into becoming the new hired help and witnessess all the strange happenings that occur to all of Yuko's clients. In a way he is destined to watch the results of whatever wish Yuko's clients ask-some don't even know they have a wish they want granting. Yuko also has two cute little girls named Maru and Moro. It contains comedy and of course amazing art.

Oh and technically XXXholic is a CLAMP manga that is a cross over to many other creations of CLAMP. A book of its own yet carries books of others within it, ya know? I hope I helped.

 

I love it.....Yuko is so cool...Damn my friend for hooking me.

 

Watanuki is his *LAST* name. Kimihiro would never be used as a last name. trust me.

I've read the manga thnaks to a friend. i like it. ^^ I found it funny how he found a plastic model of Sakura's wand in the shop while cleanign and Yuuko goes on about how Clow reed is a creep. XD
And Moro and Maru. Their full names (Moro-dashi and Maru-dashi) basically mean "To expose yourself in public." They may as well have been named "Streaking" and "Flashing"

 

Oh...well I guess Tokyopop screwed up the order then. My bad. But I like Watanuki.

 

I got the first volume this weekend; I hope this is as good as the other CLAMP works I've read (and seen) so far.
