Yu-Gi-Oh! YGO and YGO GX similarites and differences.

Besides the cards. What is similar about the shows? Characters? What is different?

One thing I noticed no more heart of the cards. Jaden in GX is starting to with the help of Kerbo (?). It was one good theme I liked.

Jaden reminds me of Yami.
Sirius reminds me of Yugi.

Almost all the characters are like the old Yu-gi-oh that real freaky wierd dude reminds me of Pegasus, Chazz reminds me of Kaiba, is Sirius the guy with the glasses? he reminds me more of Yugi and Jaden is like Joey to be honest. whooooo~~!!

 

I think there are big similarities to the characters between the two.


Jaden is supposed to be Yugi.

Siris is supposed to be Bakura (maybe.)

Alexis is supposed to be a girl version of Joey. Joey was trying to help his sister, Alexis is trying to help her brother.

Chaz is supposed to be Kaiba.

That's all I can relate in the show so far. I gotta catch up and see what has happened lately.

 

A couple differences I noticed were:

-No more millenium items
-No heart of the cards
-Not the same cards
-Not the same duel discs

The series doesn't even have anything to do with the original YGO as far as I can tell. They should have named it something different.

Alexis i think is Tea If Tea was good at Dueling
No More Heart of Cards But maybe the Spirit is Suppose to Represent the heart of the Cards

 

Although I don't think they have a strong part in the storyline, there is this one point that refers to them and tells you what happened to them.

Also, I thought there was a rule that lets you summon only 1 monster a turn. I often see people summoning more than one per turn. And I'm also pretty sure the rules said your monsters had to be on the field before you could fuse them together.

I think Bastian is pretty unique, though. The closest person I can match him to is the dice guy. I forgot his name.

 

I think it is called Yu Gi Oh GX is because Yugi is for game or something like that in japanese. So it would be the next generation. They are all going for the next king of game which my Yugi holds btw.

Jaden actually has met Yugi/Yami before he started dueling Academy.

The dice guys name was Duke Devlin/ Ryuji Otogi. I thought Ryuji was kind of hot headed like Chazz.
