Board and Card Games Yu-Gi-Oh! Game Thread

Well, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG game, or as in the showuel Monsters, is a very good card game, so I figured it deserved a thread in the "Card Games" section too. It may be a little complicated at first, since it has so many phases in a turn(Standby Phase, Draw Phase, Main Phase one, Battle Phase, Main Phase 2, End Phase), but still, it's a very clean and original game. And the Variety of cards and combos makes it more exiting!! The sad part is, the Duelist with the Rarest cards wins.(But keep in mind, that can't happen all the time!)

 

I think it's a great idea! Just remember to follow the same rules that have developed in the Magic: Game Thread. You must list off your life points at the beginning of every round, and after any changes, and tell the number of cards in your hand at the beginning of every turn. Please remember to explain any new cards (Cards that haven't been introduced into the current game yet)

Also, due to the structure of Yu-Gi-Oh, it would be appreciated if you showed the cards you have in play at the end of every turn.

Ie.

Summoned Skull (Attack Mode), (Face down Defense monster), Empty monster space, Labyrinth Wall (Defense Mode), Empty slot.

Face-down card, Equip Magic Card (Name), Permanent Trap Card (Name), Empty slot, Permanent Spell Card.

This makes things easier for players to know what's going on in the game.

I'd play a game myself, but I don't have any cards.

I know sacrifice my face down card, which was Sangan, and summon..Dark Magician Girl! Also, with the effect of Sangan, i will bring a monster of an ATK of 1500 or less, and Special Summon it on the field, and i choose:"Mystic Tomato"!

This is all good and stuff....but isn't it just easier to use YVD?

It's ok, most people don't know about it. It's Yugioh Virtual Dueling, you can get it at www.xerocreative.com. It's a really cool way to duel!

 

Ok, if the general consensus is to run the YGO games through that program, instead of this thread, then there's no reason to keep it open, right? We'll see what the polls say.

Alright, I'm impatient, and this thread has gone pretty much off topic. Also, it seems to be agreed that you can play through that program that 'seto/joey rlz!' posted.
