Slayers Universe Zelas Metallium Question *SPOILERS*

Zelas Metallium, or "Lord Beastmaster" as Xellos would refer to her, has only so-far appeared once - and you named that only occurance - during the ending of Try when he returns to personally report.

As Slayers is very good on continuity, you can bet on a future plot that will revolve around this Dark Lord...(can you hear that sound? It's me drooling over another Slayers TV series possibility)

Xellos directly serves her, and all of his secret agendas are for this Lord, which makes the probability of him being a major world problem and enemy of the Slayers crew extremely high.

So how often? Nearly zilch. Could we see more? Definately.

Oh, and you can also catch a brief appearance of Zelas during the try series opening...

 

And that's just what makes the storyline so interesting as a possibilty.

No matter what you think of Xellos, he is of the demon monster race. The best glimpse of him is midway through Try, where he carries out orders to recruit Valgaav. In exchange for him joining the monsters, he offers Lina's life. It may come to a surprise to some viewers, but it apparently isn't beyond him.

The fact he hasn't directly fought them is as he comments during that conversation. He journeys and monitors the group since it has coincided with his orders and tasks...

But we're talking a creation of evil that has killed countless without regret. And he was created by and to serve Beastmaster.

If he was given the order to exterminate Lina Inverse...what would he do, do ya think?

 

Oh, that's what makes Xel a complicated character. You can never be too sure of anything.

And I do agree that it's highly unlikely that Lina'd be killed. It'd piss me off, at least. I'm just stating where I could see the plot going, and it would be quite an interesting event to see him torn between his own decisions and Metallium's...
