Well, I'm drawing a manga! ^_^ I did the title page today... I actually THOUGHT about this picture! But be merciless, okay? RIP MY PICTRE APART! Tell me EVERY LAST thing thats wrong with it please! And if anyone would like to CG/tone it, please please do! ^_^

but Ufo's piccys are super awesome.. i dont see anything bad with them cept that they scanned kinda light. Besides that they are totally cool...

looks good. can't wait to see the rest of the manga. ^^. i don't know what program you use, but if you open the levels command, you can make the lines darker, and your scans will show up better, but... looks good.

the drawing itself is somehow nice, however, remeber that you said i´ts a manga, and a manga should be easy to understand, i look at your pic and i have no idea of whats going on

and you duplicated the face, it looks kinda cheap

It's a manga, but it's only the title page, teh actual one will be in boxes and everything.

About making teh lines darker:

How could I turn an image like this into line art? Are teh lines smooth enough right now?

I like the full one better. The horse thing looks cool. You could draw the nose and not have a mouth? I dunno, try it, see how that works out. And about the wall just cutting off looks kinda weird.

I think I'm going to chop off the top and move the girl down, so teh wall won't cut off...

P.S. Almost done with the first page, so that's comin up tomorrow or so...

 

thats pretty good. actually its really good. your talented. the pheonix is cool. but why do you draw half the face on the computer?? why not just draw the whole thing on paper?

 

I agree with poom-poom, that using the "levels" setting is an easy way to make drawings kinda look like lineart. It just takes a lil experimenting with the settings, depending on how grayed out your penciling is, and how much sketchy lines you have around the lines you want to darken.

Since I can't scan drawings, these days I can only CG stuff already on the computer. So I guess I'll CG your drawing for fun.

Did you put white out on the mouth? I was playing with the lighting, and I can see what looks like correction tape right over the mouth!

 

lol, looks like there's tape on the nose and mouth. i had a muck around with the level and stuff, (hope you don't mind.) you're was hard cause you had some real heavy parts and real light parts, but this will give you an idea. if just for the purpose of showing light sketchs, this can be handy cause you can see it all much clearer.

Hey how long time did it take

 

It took about 5 minutes to draw everything except the wall, which took 15 minutes or so.
