    Thank You! I scanned teh first page, but it looks liek complete CRAP... I'm redrawing it totally. I really hate it... here's a look though. ^_~ And I know youll find plenty wrong with it lol...

    I resized it, thats why teh imaeg quality is crappy, but teh actual image is good quality.

    Hey UFOtaku, I'm just letting you know that I'm still working on CGing your cover page.

    Did you want it with the half face or the full face? I did the full-face one (my first time coloring something without a mouth!).

    So far I've colored the phoenix really flamed up, and it looks pretty good. I should be done in a few days.

    I know it's getting redrawn, but a few suggestions.

    1) Either increase your scanner settings to pick up the lighter marks, or use a darker tool to draw in. Perhaps pen or inking over your penciling. The image I saw was very "dotty" and hard to focus on.

    2) Make use of a ruler. I'm really bad about this one, myself. I've done up a number of different comics in my spare time (gonna hit my gallery with a few scans at some point), and I draw the panels freehand just like you, but a straight line can make a big difference.

    3) I noticed Bitmap is your format of choice to date. Not a very portable format, as Bitmap files keep track of every single pixel in an image. An equivalent GIF of the same image would likely cut file size in half, since it looks to be a very small range of gray indexes.

    4) Digital Lettering might be an option to consider, though it's a step longer post-scan. Not knocking your handwritten lettering (it's quite clear and visible). Just saying that obtaining a nice-looking font and typesetting your speech would give a crisper, consistant look for the whole comic. I have yet to do this with any of my stuff, but should I ever find myself wanting to revisit my comics attempt, I probably will.

    Now that those things are out of the way, I must say I like how it's coming along (and I've only yet seen the first page). Your writing has already pulled me in, and I found myself itching to click to page 2 - which didn't exist. The artwork is clean and simple, but it fits and helps set the overall light mood. Great work, keep at it! :D

    Poom: Actually, this is my first time attempting a comic. ^^

    Seraphinx: Thanks! ^^ I was gonna go with the half face, but I bet you can make teh full face look better anyway. Can't wait to see it!

    BMS: I used a ruler, lol... but once I put it on the computer, I've realized that maybe I need a new ruler. ^^ I'll also start using gif now, thanks for the suggestion. And about the font, I've been looking for that "manga font"... but I can't really find it anywhere... I found some comic fonts, though.

    What font do you guys use in yoru mangas?

    This place has some great manga-style fonts in the Free section. Not many choices, but still some excellent ones. As long as you're doing things independently and not selling your comic, you can freely use the stuff.

    Sorry it's been a while! Here, I finished coloring your cover page. The half-face one does look better, while the full-face looks more natural (although it lacks a mouth).
