Based on an Anime, a game that got its own Anime, or Anime-style?

BakaMattSu, I could be here quite some time naming 'em off...

Not really every RPG, BakaMattSu, just all the ones made in Japan (in other words, all the best ones [IMG]).
As for what animes have their own RPG's, there's too many of them for me to comprehend! All I ever see around my house is my sister playing anime-based RPG's emulated [IMG]. I keep telling her, why not watch an anime, and play the game of one she likes, but nooo! she has to just play 'em all, and she never beats half of them; she just leaves 'em unfinished [IMG]! Most frustrating.
Oops! I rambled too long ... anybody else notice I do that a lot?

As for RPGs (or any games at all) that are actually based on anime, not a whole lot seem to make it into an (official) english version.
A few off the top of my head, and far from a complete list:

    The Digimon World series.
Magic Knight Rayearth (action/RPG, but a fun little romp none-the-less)

I believe there are a few Rurouni Kenshin rpg's also. Also there is a Dragonball Z rpg that was for Super Nintendo, I think it's finally coming to North America on Gameboy Advance.

See, the thing is that the majority of the video game audience is not made up of otakus like ourselves. Therefore, these anime-based games are usually based on the kiddified anime-pulp we see so much of, such as Digimon.
Until the world stops playing little crappy football games on their discontinued Sega systems, we may never see most of these titles [IMG].

It's so unfortunate [IMG] ... That's also explains why a lot of square rpg's like xenogears and chrono cross were never released... hmph...

are there anime cutscences in xenosaga like in xenogears?

I don't know if there are anime cutscenes [IMG]
I think that the cutscenes may be like Chrono Cross's...kinda the 3d anime style.

Chrono Cross and Xenogears were released over here(Canada)....where are you from?

Although I heard Xenogears was taken off the shelves due to controversy or something(I found it at Toys R Us though [IMG] [IMG] ).
