Well I am new here and have only posted twice so far.
I thought I might make a thread about the best manga author/illustrarator, Rumiko Takahashi. She has done such titles as Ranma 1/2, Maisin Ikkoku, Inu-Yasha, and more that I do not even know about.

I also thought I might ask what is your favorite Rumiko Takahashi series?

So far all I've seen from Takahashi is InuYasha and Ranma, it's really close, but of the two I like Ranma more. The plot of Ranma is very original, and lmao funny ;)

But I've seen way more Ranma then I have Inuyasha, so I shouldn't be too quick to judge... I'll post again once I've watched/read more Inu

Don't forget the other notable works of the world's most popular female comic artist:

-Mermaid's Saga (which had the two OVAs, Mermaid Forest and Mermaid's Scar)
-Urusei Yatsura (her first works to become anime...a TV series that ran from 1981-1985 involved the space girl Lum and her engagement to earth-boy Ataru)

But I still cast my vote for Ranma...:)

i gotta say ranma. with humor being the thing i love most, and ranma being just as screwed up as it is, i think thats the best. inu-yasha isnt bad, but its a little too grave for me. maison ikkoku is...eh. i dunno. its ok. and lum...wellllll......*coughs* i dont have anything to really say about lum. so, yeah. ranma it is!:D

I like both Ranma 1/2 and Rumic Theater. I did not enoy Lum or Urusei Yatsura series. And I did not read Inu-Yasha manga.
MY choices are narrowed down to Ranma. Ranma gets my vote :)

I forgot about the Mermaid Saga and Lum. I wish I could get the Lum books from my library, but they do not have it. I guess I am going to have to buy them sometime. I have read all three of the graphic novels of the Mermaid Saga and really enjoyed it. Is there anymore that are just not translated yet?
And I guess everybody's favorite is Ranma and so is mine. Since it is the first and only (so far) TV series anime that I bought (on DVD).

Ranma's cool, but I voted for Inuyasha. If Lum -chan was on this poll I probably would have voted for her story though.

The votes go to either Ranma or Inu-Yasha. Ranma has its humor, and Inu-Yasha's got its mysterious plot. I really can't decide! Rumic Theaters are ok too. But I don't think I'd vote for the others, cuz I didn't really enjoy Lum that much, and the rest just didn't seem too interesting.

    This is just my opinion!

RANMA ½!!!! It's got one of the best plot devices I can think of so far...having to change from one thing to another with just a splash of water...that's usually unwanted. Plus the characters make me laugh and stuff. It's good.

I voted for Ranma. I saw it first before Inu-Yasha. I love it 'coz it's so humorous--me, my bro, and my cousins used to watch it all the time...

I seen/read Inuysha and Ranma 1/2. Out of those two, I like Inuyasha. I'm not even sure why I like Inuyasha better.

Sorry Inuyasha, My vote goes to Ranma 1/2.

OMG! I love it. If it didn't exist my life wouldn't. I was born to like Ranma 1/2. Inuyasha is extremely close but man you gotta love P-Chan *glares* P-CHAN AND RYOGA PUT THE WHOLE PLOT IN IT. Ok I'm sorry, I love Ryoga and my favorite Female is Nodoka Saotome. Its just a really great story! I'm hoping to see the anime soon. *glares* WHAT! I have only seen episodes 3 & 4 in anime but in Manga. 9, 19, 20, 21, and 22. I also have done alot of researching. So basiclly I like it when I only read such few of it.

It's a toss-up between Inu-Yasha and Ranma. Sure, they've both got humor, but Inu-Yasha becomes very serious as the series progresses, and Ranma's chock-full of insanity the whole time, so it's hard to compare the two.

Of course, if I had to make a decision right now, I'd go with Inu-Yasha.

Yeah, I'd say Inu-Yasha. ^_^ Ranma is realy great, though. Because it's a little deeper.

I only have read/saw Inuyasha and Ranma 1/2 and I voted for Inuyasha because of one reason. I'm an anti-ecchi :p I hated Ranma from the beginning because it had lots of nudity and ecchiness that I couldnt handle :dizzy2:
