    XD well that kinda goes for me too. Prolly the closest store, with exceptable prices, near me would be a Target, and they dont have much of anything.

    But as for my favorites i prolly mentioned them, or they have been mentioned allready. So pretty much everything that has been mentioned so far minus a couple.

    But here are some additions (i wouldnt know how to classify them into genre tho):

    Dark Tranquility
    Suidakra
    Six Feet Under
    Murderdolls
    Strapping Yound Lad
    Kittie
    Mushroomhead
    Shadows Fall
    Hammerfall
    Helloween

    ---this is kinda hard think off the top of my head. . .i listen to alot. But as you can see, the selection is limited. ^^;; Some of those arent even Black or death metal, just kinda of the headbanger music. e.e

    I'll do my best to classify these...

    Hammerfall = Power Metal
    Murderdolls = Nu-metal
    and...I can't help with the others.

    But Strapping Young Lad is really good.

    Dark Tranquillity-Melodic Death Metal. I love this band
    Suidarka-Melodic Death Metal
    Six Feet Under-Death Metal (former Cannibal Corpse singer) Good band
    Muderdolls-As stated before Nu Metal
    Strapping Young Lad-Death Metal or Grindcore. Not a huge fan, not bad but I like Devin Townsends solo work MUCH better.
    Kittie-Nu Metal but sound Death Metalish to me...
    Mushroomhead-Heavy Metal. This band is cooler than most people give them credit for.
    Shadows Fall-Melodic Death Metal. I love this band too. The Art of Balance is a good disc
    Hammerfall-Power Metal (Drummer from In Flames was on a few of their discs)
    Helloween-Good Power Metal band. Kai Hansen is cool.

    Having gone home to my nice, non-firewalled connection this weekend, I've taken the liberty of downloading a few of the bands everyone listed.
    And I've come to the conclusion that Ritual by Meshuggah is a really good song.

    Oh, I did keep a little Napalm Death as well. The other stuff I got seemed to ... generic ... for my liking. Not so far as to say they all sounded the same, but they sounded too stereotypical. I like the uniqueness of Meshuggah and At The Gates.

    Ah, yes. I have that one, even though it had what, 4 songs?

    I need Chaosphere and Rare Trax and then I'll have all the Meshuggah albums.

    Yeah only 4. heh.

    Novus, at first i thought, Deicide and Morbid angel where too stereotypical, and i didnt like them at first, i learned to like them, and they grew on me after a while. Thats kinda how all death metal was to me at first, i started with heavy metal and moved up to death metal, after time. After you get used to the death metal sound, you can tell the differences between groups, and enjoy them alot.

    Hey, I could tell the difference between the bands, but I just didn't much care for their styles. I crave originality.
    Maybe I'll give those bands another chance next time I go home, though.
