Debate Bloom: Elf or Pirate?

I wasn't sure if this would be Debates or Movies... so, I stuck it here.
Do you think Orlando Bloom was better as Legolas, from Lord Of The Rings, or William Turner from Pirates of The Caribbean?

I, myself, will post my opinion later, so indifferent people have to think! ^_^

 

Legolas was much better. As Will Turner he was to nice to be a pirate. You need to have a little danger in you to be a pirate.

 

Turner wasn't really a pirate. He just got mixed in with a pirate crew.
I thought his performance in Pirates of the Carribean was better than his excessively homoerotic Legolas. Of course, you probably would have guessed I'd say that.

 

I say, why should I care? Not trying to flame you or anything, but I'm a guy, and he's supposed to be a chick magnet. That's why I don't care. He's an actor.

That and I haven't seen POTC yet.

 

A) Legolas is hot
B) He has a bow and arrow nuf said
C) He has cute pointy ears

A)Turner has a mustache(I hate mustaches)
B) He has a girlfriend who doesn't even follow him out to sea at the end because you know what she can't swim.
C) No pointy ears :dizzy2: :anger2:

True, but so was DiCapprio. And his performance in Catch Me If You Can really shows that even the pretty-boys can act now and then.

 

I haven't seen that movie either... I Don't get out much.

 

Legolas was a much better character fer him...he just looks more like an elf to me than a pirate...So I voted for LOTR Orlando Bloom...heh

I'd say LOTR... not because he was hot. ^_^ I found that Turner came off as a very fake character. He didn't act the part at all. Either that or he just looked crappy as opposed to Depp. ^_~

And just becuase an actor is a "chick magnet" dosen't mean guys aren't supposed to judge them. There's more to it than looks!

I hated his role in PoTC, and I fell head over heals for him in Lord of the rights. So I guess its clear which one of his roles I prefer

 

Why is it so many people cannot see past the physical? Where are all the film enthusiasts in this crowd?
Also, why are there only like 2 guys who seem to have anything to say about this subject?

Turner WAS a pirate in the end. Anyways Orlando is so much cuter as Legolas than that fancy english fellow in POTC. Maybe it's the hair. Either way, Johnny Depp was the best pirate anyways =^-^= meow!

 

Honestly, Bloom gives a good PERFORMANCE!!!!!!

umm yeah! I didnt like him in PoTC, because it looked like his character has the same personality as Legolas. Except that his hair is brown and he's not an elf.

 

... and pirates are infinitely cooler than elves. Well, except maybe an elf-pirate ...

 

oh gosh an elf-pirate. thats sounds awesome. LOTR should have at least one.^_____^

 

I voted for Orlando as an elf, becuase he looks so... delicate, fragile and HOT!!! OHHH!! ALL THE COMPONENTS!!! (for an elf, anyway.)
He was good as Will Turner and he did a good job in his role, but I didn't like the facial hair! (yuck)

See, this is exactly my point. So many of you don't actually care about which movie Bloom was better in, because you only care about his appearance. There's an old stereotype that labels guys as being obsessed with such things, but this seems to be the opposite. You have a guy saying the appearance is irrelevant and a bunch of girls saying that's all that matters.
