CLAMP Works CHO: Is Chii really that cute?

Is she? Chii from Chobits. What do you think?

 

Yes she is that damn cute!!!! There is no beating the cuteness of Chii. Well. Maybe Chiyo-chan. But the names are similar. Conspiracy? I think so.....

 

Of course, she is very, very cute.

 

Chi is cute 'cause she's innocent, as innocent as you can get!

Think about it, the cute one are always the innocent ones:

Shinobu (Love Hina)
R. Dorothy (Big O)
D (Dual!)
etc...

 

I think her cuteness is really overrated. Sure I think she's beautiful, but really...real cuteness comes when there's no sexual influence. Commercial drawings of Chi often show her in very erotic outfits (like this). Some put her in dark, almost evil looking outfits (like this), or even in sexual contexts like this. Yet people go "It's cute." Damn, some people can't even tell the difference between cute and sexy. Can't put an erotic outift like that in the same category as a ballerina outfit.

Plus she has breasts, showing that she's not that young. Younger girls are always thought of as cuter than older girls. Look at Shinobu: she's the middle-schooler so her body is the most immature. All the other, older female characters in Love Hina have big breasts, which contrasts greatly to Shinobu's body. What is cuter, a lil girl with nothing but a bright smile or a teen girl with a body for gnarly men to gaze at? A lil girl of course.

Cute comes not with just innocence, but also physical smallness, and immature appearance (chibi-style being an example). What does Chii have? ONLY innocence! It's like saying you have a super, super, SUPER sexy body when you only have nice hips and nothing else.

 

So you're saying that someone can't be cute AND sexy at the same time?I disagree.Sure,Chi is sexy sometimes,but she is real cute too.Look at her in her maid's outfit!

 

Although that wasn't my point, yeah girls can be cute and sexy at the same time, even though it takes a unique combination of the two--you can't just throw a sexy outfit on any cute girl. It defeats the purpose of being ever so innocent by adding sexuality. That's even the fine line that makes nude underage photography legal or illegal--whether or not it is sexual. In fact even if an image was just a lil sexual, say a real girl dressed up in an exotic outfit like that of Chii, with Chii's blank expression and an uninhibited pose, that's gonna get a rise out of the conservative community. (Maybe not your's or mine.)

My point was that people think Chii is really really cute, when I think she's just kinda cute. I guess it's probably cuz I'm more used to cute girls in real life than in anime.

 

I don't know but I thought Chii was adorable. Her voice was annoying, yes.

 

I never heard her voice or anything but Chii is still adorably cute.

 

Chi is very cute tbh.... But I agree about the voice... Really annoying..

 

I personally think Chii-chan's adorable. That said, I actually prefer the more sultry Black Chii, but cute is cute...

The manga Chii-chan's just the darnest little thing... I so completely wanna huggle her. :] CLAMP's artistic skills shine once aain; but the anime... it's all right. I thought she looked a bit too stupid and yes, her voice was annoying. Sounded way too robotic, especially for a chobit.

 

Chi is sweet, adorable, and innocent. That's just the way she was created. Very vulnerable, too, and I guess this is what guys like about her. Even still, she's obviously a very, very cute girl. The hair, the "Chiiiiiii?," and the inncoent personality all fit together, not to mention the outfits she wears! But I do agree, her voice in the anime is kind of robotic and fake.
She's much cuter in the manga. The Chobits manga is 10X better than the anime!

 

Yes, I think Chi is cute, but she's definately cuter when she doesn't wear such skimpy ensemble, like this picture of her when she wears an apron.

she is okay, people think she's cute because she's actually dumb. she looks pretty, but she is not cute. alot of pictures have her in skanky skin-tight, frilly, and revealing outfits that I think are NOT cute! and i think tama-chan from love hina is cuter.

I don't personally find stupidity to be cute. You could act childish and cute, but not stupid and cute.

Yeah, she was cute for a while... but it wore off. She reminds me a little of this dumbass punk poser I know at school a little, cuz she's so dramatic... so I guess I'm a but biased. :B And plus I'm a girl...

 

Cute? hmmm Chii...She's good looking, wears fancy clothes... and She reminds me of pikachu... no offense but both share a common trait. "Pika Pika"~ Pikachu and "Chii"~Chii

Yup! Chejo is right! HELL NO! She's not cute at all. She wears revealing outfits.. that are not cute at all.
