I was thinking could Anime exist in Real Life? What I mean by that is could the Anime storys, themes, characters, and etc exist in our world?

I would say more times then not no.

I could see a duel academy like in YGO GX. Japan has Go schools, and classes.

Sailormoon would be a no. You can so guess who they are. There is no ruined city on the moon.

Bleach is a maybe. For all we know there are monsters that attack people with some spirtial power.

Gantz would be a maybe also. I doubt we have the technology to bring people back to life. But the hunting of monsters maybe.

DB is a no. People with gold hair and get it by powering up I don't think so. But a bonus would be no more bottled blondes.

Inu-yasha is a maybe. There is a lot of factors there.

That is what I think for now. The rest of you?

Kanon would be iffy. There are certain aspects of the anime that couldn't happen, of course.
Such as the monsters that Mai hunts, or the truth about Ayu or Makoto
But for the most part it's certainly plausible, even possible. However in today's world I can't see it happening very easily. :(

The same goes for Air. If you ignore a few factors in the story, or mark it up to a mental disease or something, it's quite possible. Sadly most 16 year old girls these days aren't as innocent or cheerful as Misuzu. :(

    How do *you* know? :p

There is no ruined city on the moon, but you can hope there will be! xD

Rurouni Kenshin was taken from a real life story, there is no fiction in it as far as I know.. Detective Conan is true, no fiction in there, just great mad detective skills!
Get Backers somewhat, except the thunder and the other character's "magic" powers; I kinda can see SMJ happening after hundereds of years if people were still around at that time!

So I guess it depends on the anime, robots (mecha), magic, historical, schools..

I say it's a maybe. Obviously anything with stuff related to other planets would be a no.

FMA... It's a maybe. I mean, we do have bionic parts, but we can't trap souls in big suits of armor, no matter how hard we try.

I would say Yu-Gi-Oh is a maybe. I mean, sure, we have the cards, but we can't make them holograms. Or at least, not yet. Someone might make a device that projects your cards as holograms and attack. That would be very cool, so it's a maybe.

I think any anime taking place in Feudal Japan is a yes. Besides giant monsters and magic (Inu-Yasha), there were samurai like in Smaurai Champloo.

Anything that happens in the future or in space is a maybe, because we aren't there yet. :p

The other side of the Gate is Our planet =)

I also Thing Full metal panic could be one in the future tho and maybe Rurouni Kenshin

i think there are 'realistic' futuristic shows like patlabor that are plausable.
    (in particular the 2nd movie).

I think Naruto would not be pausable also. I doubt people climbing walls and hanging from ceilings without using anything special would pass.

Intial D is a yes. Just fast cars and drivers.

RK was a yes. I also thought it was based on something.

I don't think FMA would work here. We can't change walls or etc. We can't fix things by touching it or putting it in a circle. It would be nice. But that would be a no.

One Piece would be a no. I could see pirates but not the devils fruit thing happening. Plus no Skypea but it would be cool to have an island in the sky.

Tenchi Muyo is a maybe. I can see woman falling all over a hunk. But not the whole space parts of that. Maybe in the future right?

Detective Conan is a maybe. We do have Honey I Shrunk the Kids. But could we shrink people? Or change them into kids. Fountain of Youth? Detective skills is pausable.

Detective Academy Q is a yes. Detective skills and a school.

    Prince of Tennis is pausable.

Hikaru no Go is pausable. If you believe in ghosts. I think some people could leave such a strong arua behind that others may feel.

The anime with monsters, vampires, werewolves, or etc is an I don't know. I personnal feel that myths are based off of something real.

That is it for now. There is just so many.

tenisu no oujisama- most likely yes, death note- possibly, marmalade boy/imadoki/hana yori dango/gto [not sure of the last...]- probably.

    and many more...

it would be pretty cool if death note was real, though. just as long as the note wasn't in anothers' hands...

I think we can all agree that anything like DBZ is out. You don't see over-muscular guys running around fighting villains that look like bubble gum gone bad on the way to work. Maybe someday they'll invent a steroid pill that's safe to take and fun for the whole family...

Thats not true. Shishio Makoto is not based of a historical figure and neither is Amakusa Shougo. They were both made up as part of the series. But most of the rest is based off some event or person.

    Inu-Yasha, I highly doubt.

FMA is iffy. There is such thing as alchemy and people have tried to turn lead into gold but have not done it successfully. All the magic and other stuff though, no.

Samurai Champloo is a yes. It has historical reference, on some accounts and there were people very skilled with a sword.

Love Hina I would say so. A male innkeeper surrounded by gorgeous women. Seems more like a dream, but yeah, plausible.

    I wish anime could exist!
Unfortunately the law system of the world has bent over backwards to be nice and flowery to everyone, there is no freedom to do anything anymore without gettin a fine or gettin sued.

The time of Adventure when,i suppose you could say, anime was real was in the middle ages, when there was a sense of adventure, and humans were still exploring.

I think that S-Cry-Ed happening is pretty possible. We have devices that can turn a form of energy into another form of energy so being able to turn materials into other materials sounds plausible to me. The "only people born on the lost ground can have alter powers" thing would be turned plausible by the rising of the lost ground causing differences in the Earth like it's magnetic field and how the sun's rays affect things at different elevations that can affect living organisms while they're still a fetus or sex cells. Being able to use them would be because of this altering their brain waves or something else so that they can affect things.

Dang it, I was gonna further prove how much it's possible to happen but now I forgot the other things I was gonna prove.

Fullmetal Alchemist is possible, with molecular engineering. No mysterious circles or clapping involved, though.

yes because people will be battling to send the other to the shadow realm

Nah, if you cut that part out along with the millenium items and weirdo magic stuff, it works. :p

So many anime are plausible, but have one or two little factors that make them impossible. I figure that's part of the charm, to me, knowing that these amazing things are happening to (mostly) ordinary people.
