Ehh, maybe if I lose my internet access. I'd need some way to drown my sorrows then.

 

Pretty funny, and true. Calling your ex's I kno.. well think that it wouldn't be that great of a thing to do.

Remeber I am a good 15 year old straight A choir boy I would never anything remotly bad like drinking alcohol.
Taking straight shots of vodka and chasing them with screwdrivers wouldn't be much fun the next morning either I would think.

 

Explains what? Of course eggnog has alcohol in it silly, if it didn't, McDonalds wouldn't sell it to little children mistakingly thinking it's a milkshake.

I don't drink. I may have a few but I stopped drinking. Maybe because of that one time.

 

Drinking isn't for everyone. I booze up once in a while because it's a good way to blow off steam. I know my limits (despite what I may or may not joke about when under the influence) and, when tanked, I'm still smart enough to know not to do erroneously stupid things like getting behind the wheel of a car. I'm one of the few alcoholics that I know whose huevos tend to shrink when I drink because I'm paranoid about doing something that would leave me in a very different situation than I started the day in.

And for some reason my standards in women also seem to go UP when I'm drunk, but I'm at a loss with that one. I'm the black sheep of my co-workers.

That's not to say I don't make stupid decisions. Take a look at my journal. I get too emotional when I booze up. I suppose I'm one of those 'chummy' drunks. I can't seem to get my head around that one as well. I’m easily convinced to do stupid things. I’m too gullible.

Before I blow my own horn any louder lemme get to the whole point of this: Despite being only 22 I've been boozing for more than a couple of years now and I've had time to 'test the waters' and figure out my likes, limits, and how I perform under the influence. It wasn't knowledge that I was simply born with. I didn't just turn 21 and all of a sudden I know all about myself and know when to quit. Those of you coming up on your own 21st's keep that in mind when you go out and party. It'll take you a few hangovers to figure out when is a good point to call it quits for the night. When you're 'testing the waters' as I did make sure NOT to trust your own common sense. It goes to hell when you're drunk, plain and simple. I'd say "be smart when you're drunk", but that statement is an oxymoron.

Just plan ahead and figure out things like transportation before you take the first beer. You're much more intelligent when you're sober. Maybe not as happy, but definitely smarter.

Famous last words. Drinking isn't for everyone, but unless you have ready access to it you can't really say whether or not you're going to hop on the bandwagon or not. It's fine if you don't drink, there's nothing wrong with it, but when you're underage and you tell the world you're never going to do it, it's like saying you're never going to touch drugs even though you're never exposed to it. It's like saying that when you're single you're never going to go out and have a 'nocturnal relationship' with another. When the object to tempt you is not available you can say all you want, however when you're under the gun temptation is a much different beast. I can think of several more instances where people would say they would never 'do' something, ever. Lo and behold a few years later they're just like everyone else, hoppin on that bandwagon.

I'd rattle off those examples but if I did KaMeKaZi would drop-kick me.

I don't want to sound too hypocritical, but I also don't wanna be the 'bad influence' here. I seem be one of the few people who have posted here on BJP blitzed, especially in the past 6 months! Getting drunk is fun, but not when you can get in huge trouble for it, and not when drinking itself is screwing up your life. Just be careful.

A Screwdriver would be a shot of vodka mixed into a cup of Orange Juice. What you're pretty much saying is drinking a Screwdriver with a double shot of Vodka would be bad the next morning. I agree. Stay away from Vodka and Gin. They're the devil. I'm serious.

All vodka is the devil, except when it's in Mudslides, White Russians and the ever yummy Kamikaze.

I'm not stupid, either. In the case of drugs, cigarettes, and such, I know how stupid it is to take them, and I think it would take a hell of a lot to convince me to try either. Granted, I've never been in a situation where I've been offered to try anything other than, I'll admit, marijuana and tobacco (a lot of my family are smokers -.-) I'm not interested in trying those things. In fact I'm dead-set against it. It's disgusting and harmful, and of course, expensive. Why would I want to?

As far as alcohol goes, it's quite legal for me to drink it. My question is "Why?" The stuff I have tried has tasted nasty and given me an instant headache. I know how people act when they're drunk, I know what it does to people, and I don't want to see that happen to me. I'd like to think I'm wise enough to know that if I do try it again, I'll know enough to do so responsibly. Granted, it's impossible to predict where the future will take me, but I don't go into it unprepared and uninformed. I'm perceptive enough to know that it's foolishness to say "It'll never happen," but I'd like to think I'm also smart enough to take care and be careful what I get myself into.

WAKE UP AND PARTY.. LOADED AND LOVING IT!!..

anyway, I did not drink until i turned 19.. Verious reasons why i did not start earlier like most kids. Oh i was around it and had plenty of time to try it before i turned of age but i did not feel like it.. But when i did My friend said to me.. No more reasons for you not to drink, So he brought me out and got me wrecked.. and the next day bunch of my other friends got me wrecked again.. I love it.. But I now the type of person who, When i drink I go all the way.. If im not going all the way you well rarely ever see me drink.. Siping on booze is not for me..

Now as far as the taste of booze goes.. I cant drink beer.. If beer was my only option to getting drunk id never drink again.. It makes me sick as a dog. Same with wine i can only handle some wines.. others make me blah just like ragnarock said.. Shots.. well besides tequila and the odd whisky not to many ppl really like straight shots.. because they are strong and most times nasty..

So really its just a matter of testing the waters go out with friends.. try some different drinks. Odds are you will find a drink that you will say way this is great and after 10 of them you will be trying to swim on the floor.

And speaking of drinking that is my plan tonight.. Friend is having a bday party.. I will go out and get totally blitzed, hammered, wrecked, pie eyed, tanked, I wont be drunk until i cant hold onto the floor.. WHy because its some of the greatist times in the world..

As for hangovers I know how to control them so they have minimal effects.. Drink as much water as you can.. Hangover are mostly caused because body becomes dehydrated to point that it makes you sick.. So if you get to that point the next day becomes a task to get your body back up and running.. So water before you go to sleep helps greatly reduce the effect the morning after.. greasy foods like pizza aslo helps flush the system..

But anyone out there who is not of age.. Stay away from drinking.. Dont go get yourselves in trouble with the law or your parents.. and if you do dicide to break the law and get drunk.. Make sure your parents know where you are and call themm.. Its better to get home safe then it is to end up in the ditch or someplace worse and your parents not know where you are..
