Za~anza! I'm muslim, too! *high five*

Anyhoo, despite my activeness in my religion, I don't believe in heaven and hell. It just seems... illogical to me. Wouldn't heaven be overpopulated? And you know it's IMPOSSIBLE to give everyone everything they want.

In Islam, they say that you can get into heaven, not depending on how many mistakes you make or what you did, but rather if you acted intelligently and generously.

(That was a sidenote) Even before I could understand religion, I've always believed in Reincarnation. Even before I knew it had a name or that Buddhism existed. That's just what seems right.

But now that I think about... it dosen't seem right... I don't believe in that, either.

When you say "When "we" die" who exactly is "we"? "We" is not us, we is our souls.

So basically, you're asking, what do you think a soul is? I don't think that a soul is a thing. I believe it's more of a combination of numbers that sometimes repeats itself over our history.

So in my opinion, none of it is real. No hell, no reincarnation. Once you die, damn, you're dead.

So live your life, kiddos. ^.~

I don't know, but I dreamt this one time.
When we die. We are taken to a large coffee house in the sky. Inside, we just sit around and talk to other people telling them how we died while drinking coffee. And the perverted guys(was part of my dream) goes down to earth again and get in a long line to go into the female dressing rooms of clothing shops. Yes, it was the strangest dream I ever had.

What I believe is said before. That we we die, we go into another body carrying some traits of our former life, like if someone is a good artist, their next life, they will be just as good or less. So we live on, just maybe in a new gender and nationality and we forget our last life.
I had a long thought on this myself...just sitting there in school during class...I guess this is why teachers always yell at me.

I am also fond of Sylvia Brown. What she has said about certain subjects such as death, and ghosts holds true with many occurences over time and with many people. Her straightforward, no nonsense attitude makes her seem very real as opposed to the popular image of a clarivoyant as a very sympathetic, soft spoken person. I believe she is on Montel on Wednesdays, so if you want to just want to learn a little about her, check it out.

im probally going to sound somewhat retarded in stating how i found my beliefs, but oh well....

i tend to read alot, and i am the biggest fan of anne rice. not only for her literature, but for the beliefs she states in her books. from reading memnoch the devil, i understood fully what the christian bible tries to say. yet being a faithful hebrew, i tend to mold old and new testament a bit at times. so, i believe in heaven, but not hell. purgatory, or limbo is more likely than not what you have to look forward to if your not fit to enter heaven.

so, you can earn your way to heaven, or you can stay in purg/limbo for however long it takes~

Nobody knows, because nobody who has died has ever been able to come back and tell you. Religions and speculations are just that - speculations. You would have to prove everything leading to those speculations.

Heaven/Hell - Prove the existance of such.
Bible - Prove the factual capacity of the stories.
    God - Prove god.
Some event that had to be heavenly - Again, prove the existance of 'Heaven'

And it keeps going on. Everything about that, if approached with enough cynicism, can be disproved, though every disproval can also be disproved. And in another thread we can establish that reality is unsure either.

    So... who knows?

Anyone ever seen the movie Flatliners? While it wasn't a great movie, it did give me an idea. What of the people who have had near-death experiences? What did they see when they were "dead?" Was their vision the afterlife? Something involving the soul? Something else?

A while ago, I was speaking to someone that has had a near death experience(he was legally dead for 20 minutes) and he said during that time, he felt as though he was just...sleeping. Everything was just dark, like when you close your eyes in a dark room, and I fully believe him. There really isn't a reason not to. But I still believe in reincarnation, but since he wouldn't stay dead, I think that he wouldn't be reincarnated since he would still be running a life...

I hope I didn't kill anyones views on anything, and if I did, then you really didn't believe in it, did you?;)

Life or death? What's the difference? We think we see life and we don't see death. We also see motionless things. There is everything after death, because death is everything we can think of except everything that belongs to life (unless life and death are mutual friends). ;)

i realy dont know what to beleive. i believe in ghost and stuff like that, but i think if there is a heaven and hell then theres gunna be a hell of a lot more people in hell. i still think reincarnation would be cool as hell though.

Reincarnation is the coolest thing! Or, just maybe.

I never knew the potential of the idea of reincarnation until I watched the anime movie, "A Chinese Ghost Story." Very alluring too. :)
