    There's still a bit of work to be done on the main page and related sections, but the forums are ready and working.

    I just have one problem. Some of the avatars we had have left us :( . I'm lost without my Mugetsu pic ... just kidding, but I would like to have them back. If this is a problem, I apologize for even asking.

    I love the new layout... I have one question though.
    How did I change my title? (I'm soo confoozed!!!) I changed it
    late at night last night and people have been asking me how I did it and I don't know how I did.

    *everyone falls over*

    Oh and about the avatars, I think that Matt has them and he'll probably upload them the next time he's on.

    This new layout, its driving me 2 x coocoo ! Its reminds me of another page, I am not sure of it whats its name ... I'll ask phat then I'll come back back !


    I mean, that the old one was simple and easy to understand, but now! Its more complicated than ever !

    hiya guys!!i personally like the new style of m2a yeah it will be a little confusing for the time being but it shouldnt take too long to figure out right?soon it will be like we've had this format forever!:D there i go being all positive again!:rolleyes: oh well yeah so basically my final opinion is....*drumroll please*
    i love color!! especially pink!! which means i love the new format!!!hahahaha! :p

    The layout is awesome! I like the new features too!
    I have to agree with Zanza that it is a little bit complex, but eventually we'll learn...:) just like Energizer Bunny said!

    but I kinda miss all those avatars we submitted...

    This is so cool, we have all these cool new features to try out also!! But I still wonder how the heck I changed my title to l337 S4|/|ur4| |/|0|)! I have a bad short term memory so it'll probably come to me soon.

    Time for me to out some. I miss the little post icons. No keen gun :(

    Also, I hate having to "log in" I miss being able to enter my username and password when posting, now when I go to post I have to slog though the "you are not logged in" page. to much hassle. It doesn't take much..

    And scrolling through avatars really sucks on a slow connection now. Any connection really, next page.. next page..

    COMPLAINTS

    words that have the letters 'comp' in it to describe the new page layout:
    Complicated
    Completely New
    Uncomfortable (Too bright)
    None of the buttons are in the same place. :( I don't like it.
    I Like old M2A better. But, probably just me, so I'll leanr to live with it. :eek: No...I don't like the new layout. Color is COOL! but that's about all. What's with the new colors of the buttons and their placement?
    This could cut down on my posts.

    Whatsamatta? Afraid of a little change? I call this evolution! It's like that song, Nine Inch Nails, methinks, Do The Evolution.
    I think this site will resume rocking as usual, if not more than ever, once we get those pretty avatars up (I'm getting obsessed again ...)!
    As for how to change your title, it's in your profile-editing stuff, isn't it?

    Lady Aoi rather likes the new layout (though I do miss some of the old emoticons ;_;). Like the new features, too, including the purple color!! Keep up the good work, folks!

    And yeah the login with cookies are bothering Seraphim and I a bit since we're using the same computer right now...

    Login problems

    Hi again,

    Sorry to hear about the login problems, I added a login box to the main page but maybe that doesn't help.

    The avatars! Doh, I have not uploaded the new ones BMS uploaded but I will transfer them once I get back to work, I am unable to do it from my home connection.

    I think the colour styles is pretty much the same as before, what I would like to do is add a few new styles, then users can select those themselves from the control panel. I'll definitely be adding a BOTP style like that that was on the Battle of the Planets board, black background, light text. Hopefully can add some Ranma/Eva/Hina styles too - users can view the forums then using whatever style they want.

    As you say, it takes a while to get used to the new features but I think you will get used to the advantages - the private messaging is very handy as well...

    More as it happens!

    Also will be adding some quick links to the individ forums at the top of each page using short keywords like:

    - Anime - Admin - BOTP - Alita - SMJ - Hina - Ranma and so on...

    Please post your complaints because I hope to rectify as many as possible in the next 2 weeks - thanks for those comments so far.

    typing forums.mangatoanime.com into my address bar no longer takes me to the forums

    The new layout looks kinda like Windos XP (Xploitation)

    So I liked the old ones, don't mind me. I still use the version of Windows Media Player from BEFORE 6.4, Winamp 2.62 etc.. Why change if the old was nice and simple and functional? And I miss the old emoticons.. had the same problem when Winamp's forums made this same change. No connection between that and me never posting there anymore...

    I am obviously outvoted though, so who cares :D

    As much as I hate change....I'm getting use to the boards....

    Of course, as with everyone else, there's still the things I miss:

    -Active Topics, Virgin Topics
    -The News Hack on the main page (which is being 'worked on ;)')

    I'm just happy I didn't have to change my Av!

    BakaMattSu, of all the things he's lost, he misses his mind most...

    One last thing I feel I should mitch and bone about:

    All the little forums are now dead for good. No one will poke their nose into each little forum everyday to see if there are new posts. New posts will simply die from lack of attention, instead of drawing everyone back into a long dead forum through the presence of a red folder. Oh well.

    We don't want any of our less frequented forums dieing. The best way to do this is to amalgamate other specialised communities. The good thing about vBulletin is it's importing scripts, it covers 3 or 4 main varieties of other bulletin board formats. I hope to contact some smaller bulletin board admins and ask them if they want to join in with us here.

    In other changes, I don't like XP either Mamiya, and there are too many buttons standing out in the current layout. If you remember back to the old forums, most of the buttons were actually small gray GIF images in Verdana font; I have restored most of those now and the green buttons are less obvious (in fact only two or three of the big ones remain, for new posts and replies).

    Also, I've redirected forums.mangatoanime.com to here.

    Keep the complaints coming, I am also going to restore all the old avatars now.
