I find this whole debate pointless. Just because you are strong does not make you right. It just means that you have may have more influence on a corrupt idea.

If being in a group makes them strong, then they are strong. I never said they could not get the aid of others. Wars are never won with just one person.

Seems like "might makes right" has two meanings, and I can't tell which meaning we should talk about. First, fluffy explains that those who work hard will succeed, and so I thought "might makes right" was similar to Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection (the strong will survive and the weak will die off). In that case, "right" was used to mean "successful."

But then people are talking about "right" as referring to what is "morally correct" or "the rules we should follow." Like saying that those who have "might" such as political power or well-earned reputations are the ones who have the correct laws/morals (while the weak are wrong). This is what I thought fluffy meant when saying "strong people make whats right in the world. The weak cannot oppose what strong do, therefore what strong do is right."

So which definition of "might makes right" should we be talking about? If it was the first one, I'd say yeah, working hard or building up skills is rewarding. If it's the second one, then I'd say I don't know. Cuz it's pretty obvious that those with might/power or those who are weak but can amass power in their numbers (like how Nephilim brought up)... well, they simply have power, but they're not necessarily right. Anyone could be right, regardless of how rich or poor they are.

Minor nitpick - Natural selection holds those that can adapt as successful, not the strongest.

and adaptation is what in this sense, "makes them stronger".

and neph, you're known for minor nit-picking. now, let's not have this go mean...
