Full Metal Alchemist Do you think the show is too violent for younger audiences?

    This is why we here in the Western Hemisphere (ala USA) will not be able to get any of the better shows. The general consensus is that animated shows are for kids, and thus, the wrong people will get mad. We can put disclaimers all we want, but that won't stop networks from editing and it won't stop parents from getting mad because someone put a cartoon on the air that has blood and death in it.

    We are just too immature a culture to understand that some cartoons are not meant to be shown to kids, even if the animation is flowery. Just because it doens't look like Beavis and Butthead doesn't mean it's not for the older audience in mind.

    In replying to this thread, at this point in time,I verily think that FMA is too violent for much of the targeted viewers.

    No. Some (if not most) stories don't adapt well to summaries. I could summarize, but that'd take out all the feeling. It'd be like saying "Star Wars is about a guy who was mean for a while but got better".
