Anime Don't you hate it when..........

Don't you just hate it when friends and family thing anime is porn? I do >.< the other day I was talking to my friends about Sailor Moon and they go "oh thats porn isnt it?" and I said "no I'm really into anime" and they called me a weirdo.
And one of the girls said "would you let your kids watch that when you're older?" and I said "yes I would and I'd actually watch it with them" and they were disgusted >.< oro what is this world comeing to?

AHHH!! I know!! I really can't stand that when I'm talking to people and I bring up an awesome anime, then suddenly one of them says "isn't that porn!!??". Anime is not porn at all, most of it doesn't even have pornography (except Hentai...(blarg at that stuff!)).

It seems that society is based off of titles that we give to one another, and if some baka decided like 5 years ago that "anime is porn" all the weak minded fools would think this as well. But if that person saw a Hentai by accident then yeah, Hentai does give anime a bad name... although anime not= hentai!!!!! Also, people should watch the good stuff before saying that anime sucks because they think pokemon sucks(sorry any poke fans...). Usually when someone says that they are unsure of watching anime I show them Saber Marionette J, or Lost Universe, or Bebop, and others and then they're hooked

I agree, it's true when you say you like(or love) anime, most of the people,*cough, cough* hum... 99% thinks cartoon+porn=ANIME! My parents always say anime is porn and i shouldn't watch it! but they never really watch it! How can they judge something they don't know!? I hate when people judge something without knowing:anger2:! We should do something about it! What do you think meg-chan?!

You claim to be outraged by the concept that anime is porn, (a concpt that i've never come across) yet you both say things like Pokemon sucks and Dragonball sucks.... No Anime "sucks" it is all legitimate expression and creativity, it is a vision and a story. Before you get all huffy about the misconceptions of an uneducated individual, remembr that you, an EDUCATED individual, has their own bias.

 

oh yeah of course, I just said that many people just think that Pokemon sucks, not me...I'm a poke fan I walked around with one of those pocket pikachus for two years. I'm not as much anymore because I lost interest, but if people like it then they are free to their opinion... but when people have never seen an anime and say that it is porn, ya know?

Yes. Every single day in school, someone brings up my anime, and there is always, Always a reference to porn. So I punch them. Those bastards deserve it.

Ppl eho think that anime is porn or for kids or for whatever negative thing are ppl who think they are so cool that kidish things are for losers.. But in fact they are the loser because its those ppl who try to bully others around... thats how it was back in high school..

And like DrunkLeprachaun I got into fights with these guys because they first insult you then you family..So I showd them who the real losers were!

i suppose I should be glad that he at least knows the difference

 

I have this one kid in the hall, pass me everyday, saying to me, "Yeah you Hentai freak...you love watching that porn in cartoon format..Ink turns you on.."

Yeah I used to be like that too. Of course I always thought anime had blood and guts. That is until my brother showed me Kiki's Delivery Service (DAMN YOU JOHN!) I was hooked on animes after.

I mean I seen "So Called" Animes like DBZ and scenes of gay *** pokemon before, but I don't consider them Anime.

Now everytime I mention animes at schools, kids laugh at me, and I f***ing pound, 1. they annoy me, 2. they think horror flicks sucks.
but 2 is another story.

 

Well, to be fair, most of the time my friends are just ribbing me when they slag me about it. People who aren't my friends(and I don't have many enemies{but those I do have, I hate as much as I possibly could[but that's a matter for a different day]}) don't know I watch anime, but if they did they probably wouldn't slag me about it. They'd probably be a bit scared to. They all think I'm crazy.
