Like I said earlier, it's like they're trying to hide their previous work. I don't know why ... I mean, it was really good.
The question for this situation is where will they go when there's no one left to save them from themselves.

I just know that Billboard used to call them Christian, and I heard about some of their old stuff on Much Music, so I'm assuming that both sources wouldn't lie, at least not in unison. Therefore, you can derive that there must have been earlier work because otherwise there would be nothing for them to talk about.
Now to say something relevant, I think their older works are a bit on the "weird" side, whereas the newer songs are more mainstream. The weird stuff was so much more interesting.

can you tell me what there old albums are called so i can go out and find them? Or some of the songs that are on them so i can dowload them? I have a few of the old songs but not many.

And to my origanal question about the song, turniquet, i found out that the one where she says creepy stuff is an unrealesed version that i found on Kazaa.

Nobody seems to know the name of the album. Their website doesn't even have it. I can pull a few titles off my Winamp playlist ...

Wait a minute, I believe the album is entitled "Origin", which I say because one of my mp3's says so in the file info. Of course, another one says "New Material".
    As for song titles:

    Even In Death
Fields of Innocence (a lyrical favourite of mine)
    Forgive Me
    Surrender
Where Will You Go (the absolute best)

Those are the older ones that I have.

I was on the Evanescence web site, and they do addmit to having another CD, before Fallen. The CD is called Orgin but its out of print. The CD came out in 2000. When they were still an unknown rock band. You can still find it in some places. They also have a few other miny track CDs that they gave out a there concerts. But those are just songs that were recorded live.

if there are no swear words in their songs they are christain. Christain bands/singers don't use swears in their songs. i learnt that 2 years ago. It should still apply today...

I find Evanescence songs to be a bit suicidal, along with Linkin Park ones.... -- Maybe it's just whats-her-name way of singing (or her voice in other words) Bah wahtever, they still kick arse.

OKay i got the evanesence cd for the equivalent of 50 US cents in mexico which is about 5 pesos . And after blasting the song in my head many times i have come with the conclusion that she only says uuuh and ohhhh no particular words.
Sounds like a very depressed band but staind sounds more depressed.

I really like Evanescence...There's something to be said for Lee's voice. She's like a song bird or rain- they can sound sad and just...really beautiful at the same time.

My favourite moment for her voice is just at the beginning from Bring Me To Life, the song that everyone is trying to play to death. Somewhere in between 'How can you see into my eyes like open doors/ Leading you down into my core', she hits the perfect note.

I don't currently have KaZaA, though it's my favourite music-downloading program. My computer can't use it, and WinMX pretty much stinks at finding songs. I only have a couple of Evanescence songs as a result.

You wanna see Lee's voice really showcased? Get some of their softer stuff, such as My Immortal or Fields of Innocence.

"Somehow it seems colder now ..."
that line from FoI stands out in my mind particularly.

"When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you screamed I'd fight away all of your fears
I held your hand through all of these years
And still you have all of me ..."

"I've tried so hard just to tell myself that you're gone
And though you're still with me
    Now I'm alone, I'm alone ..."

Those last two are both out of My Immortal, the first is the chorus, and the second is near the end somewhere, followed by a nice piano solo.

yeah i agree, there slower songs are. . . .Deeper. Wisper is a really cool one.

    Catch me as I fall
Say you're here and it's all over now
    Speaking to the atmosphere
No one's here and I fall into myself
    This truth drives me
    Into madness
I know I can stop the pain
If I will it all away

    [Chorus]
    Don't turn away
(Don't give in to the pain)
    Don't try to hide
    (Though they're screaming your name)
    Don't close your eyes
(God knows what lies behind them)
    Don't turn out the light
    (Never sleep, never die)

I'm frightened by what I see
    But somehow I know
That there's much more to come
    Immobilized by my fear
    And soon to be
    Blinded by tears
    I can stop the pain
If I will it all away

    [Chorus]

    Fallen angels at my feet
    Whispered voices at my ear
    Death before my eyes
Lying next to me I fear
    She beckons me
    Shall I give in
Upon my end shall I begin
    Forsaking all I've fallen for
I rise to meet my end

. . . . .pretty deep. . . .My favorite song along with Huanted and even in death.

In some of their unreleased songs they say swears and i think in a few, maybe two, of there old songs. Not to bad but they do swear. I cant think of them off the top of my head. You can find them on kazaa.
