i will personally, always hold DIC accountable for the horrible way sailormoon was treated for its dunning and US release...yeah, they messed with eps...look at the season 1 ending...2 eps shoved into one...and you can still see mamo-chan is being impailed....*^-^*;;; cartoon network has been trying to do it right, but i think they'd have to restart it entirly with a CONSISTANT voice cast...and keep accents out of it...they weren't there to start....grr....the bastardization(ie the introducing of a new element, thus ruining the original...it's an art term...you do not do that with seperate pot glazes, k?*^-^* or watercolors...that's bad) of the show is horrible...but, what's a fan to do when you're ignored? aside from ignoring the horrible voices...<sigh>

I got tired of it because you can tell when something happened or about to....a piece was taken out....it skipped..
example.... the dark dream hole movie...english version.
serena takes hold of rini and it looks like she is going to spank her. then you see her wake up and its like you knew it happende but it didnt show it....
i cant stand it...if they can show porn on the t.v. i dont know why they cant show anime unedited.

it lost popularity because of hte shitty dubbing job, and the fact that they were too homophobic for haruka and michiru...otherwise i think SM would still be the craze...

    ???????????

It got boring cause nothing really dramatic ever happened, in my opinion any way. I still love the show though.

Yeah that's sounds about right. Sailor Moon was one of the first anime's that I watched too. But as new shows started coming out I lost interest.

    Bye 4 now

    Hmmm, well I lost interest in it because Cartoon Network just showed the same episodes over and over and over again! Plus, the voices got EXTREMLEY annoying (they kept changing too), did you notice that the voices didnt match the age groups? Yeah, the dubbing was poor as well (but it WAS better then DBZ's dubbing job), although it did get me started on Anime and Manga. Now I just read the manga and download the original episodes off of the Internet. I am such a nerd lol. -_-;;;

if sm ever lost interest, it was due to it being badly cut-up and poorly dubbed. I mean, they won't even conclude the show! plus theres always new stuff being shown on tv anyways.. there isnt room for everything...

Mostly it was the marketing that did the most damage. From the very beginning it was doomed due to the way their $10,000,000 a year staff seemed to be stuck with the ideal that scripts didn't matter. A good voice actress would sound dumd with the stuff they had to work with. Then you have the toys, which referred to the evil queen ( can't for the life of me remember her name) as Queen Saturn. All of the dolls looked like generic barbies. My point is that they let excutives ruin a good cash machine (and even better story.) I have seen some bad marketing, but what they did was inexcusable. I think they would have done better if they had hired a deranged chipmunck and an insane monkey, but thats just me.:dizzy2:

I think Sailormoon lost interest because of the Dubs. Furthermore, Sailor Stars is clearly the best and most intense series, and there's no way it will ever be licensed in America.

My take on SM is why SM lost interest

    1> Dubbing <already mentioned>

    2> Bad scripts...

3> one can only take Serena's whining for so long.

I dont agree with the third reason, It's made to be funny and it's not annoying.

I think it lost interest cuz the cast members were shallow and there was nothing extremely special in it

Damnit, I was drinking a soda when I read that... now its all over the computer (crap crap).

I always like SM. The dubbed is what got me into it and that lead to other anime (that other stuff they put on CN, but hey, I didn't know how much better stuff was out there). Things started to calm down with my SM hype until 2 years ago I bought the un-dubbed version. Man-o-man, that was a deal. THe dubbers really butchered the shiznak outta it. They took out (completly) a number of episodes (like that insainly funny one, the 21st were they stay at that haunted resort) and completly re-worked a few episodes around and cut out (I think) 5 minutes from each episode. First time I saw the one were Haruka and Michiru meet the gang, I was like "oh jeeze, this is some funny s**t." As of now i'm getting into the Manga's. Naoko's artistic style is sooooo sweet. But hell, i'm a moony and probably will be for quite a damn long time.
