    has anyone else seen anything from the anime of this?. i just saw the first ep of this and was impressed. verry funny and great animation and music.
    has it even been released yet?

    No, FMP isn't liscenced yet. And there's a second season coming. It's good, but some people didn't like the fact that the ending kinda...well, left a lot to be desired.

    That's right, ADV picked up FMP.

    Full Metal Panic! has a major identity crisis - for those who've seen it all, you know what I speak of.

    It starts off light-hearted and mainly a romantic comedy, then turning into a serious military story, and even a Gundamesque portion before reverting back into the "undesirable ending".

    That's not to say it's not worth a watch. It's a good anime, and I enjoyed it. I just personally feel they tried to pull too many different types of audiences in with it and the result is what feels like a mish-mashed throwtogether - kinda a shame.

    Yeah, sorry, I was going on old news. Because the day after you posted this BMS...I saw the ADV box sets in the warehouse at work. ^_^

    It's a nice box...comes with a shirt, like all ADV box sets. However, I don't think it's worth it...at least until I see how season 2 goes. ^_^

    I liked fmp, i don't really remember the ending but i think everyone is right in saying it wasn't very impressive.

    I've seen the first nine episodes of Full Metal Panic, and I would like to see the rest of the series. I enjoyed more than I initially thought I would. I don't think I'd ever care to buy it, though.

    I've seen 17 eps so far and I don't like it all that much. It's okay, amusing enough and the action is pretty good, it's just shallow as hell, and there are some really really annoying bits, like the end of the first ep with Arbalest, when they were talking about movies. Wanted to make me kill **** up. It's full of stuff like that, and that really annoys me. I guess one of the reasons I don't like it is because it reminds me of american action/sci-fi programs too much, and that's not what I want when I watch anime.

    I really enjoyed FMP, although I'll be honest in saying that I just wanted some nice mecha action. I cant say I ever really got annoyed like DL did. I was a tad dissapointed with the end but I knew a 2nd season would be coming so I wasn't actually angry or anything.

    I love the first season! and now I'm watching the second!!! The second season isn't licenced yet though, It called Full Metal Panic Fumffou. Anyone here can tell me what Fumoffu means?

    Anyways ^_^ I'm a big fan of Sousuke Sagara! hehe =^_^= Hey don't look at me like that :eek:

    Anyway, fumoffu stands for the sound that the bear-thingy makes when he speaks. The bear-thingy you see in the opening credits. Sagara wears it as a disguise and field armor. ^_^

    I'd like to start by sawing soory poom-poom for making a thered like your, forgive me(bows with respect).
    Any way, I 1st saw FMP when I got the New Type-USA with the free Demo of the 1st epos.
    I became a really, REALLY big fan I went at and got the Collecters Art Box with the 1st DVD now I have Vol.1-4, and I can't what for vol.5 then 6 then 7, while you get my point.

    I LOVE FULL METAL PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Overrated series.

    The director totally couldn't make up his mind on what he wanted the series to be, and we got constant plot jumps as a result. That really got on my nerves after a while.

    Personally I really enjoyed what I ve seen of FMP cant wait for the final two volumes to be realeased :anime: . Call me shallow but I always enjoy a good brain off watch away series like Burn up Excess its good after a hard days work when you really dont want to think to hard about stuff.

    I've seen all of FMP, FMP: Fumoffu and the 2 unaired episodes. Personally I thought it was great, and it was good laugh as well. The action and comedy come simultaneously which is what I like about it. The drawings is up to scratch and though the story wasn't the 'best' it was enjoyable. Most characters in both series were likeable and shared their one memorable moments. But the highlight of this series has to be the chemistry/moments between Sagara and Chidori. Simply hilarious!

    My opinion of course...
