    Get Backers anyone?

    i love this series its somethin new you can guess just from the name what it is about....as soon as i wactheched the first episode i was realed inot it like bait...and can't stop wacthing it very addicting...even know most anime does this to me never the less i rank it high in my book... has anyone else seen this and what are you thoughs about it?

    I've seen like 7 odd eps of it, I was hooked. Unfortunately, it wasn't my anime, and he wouldn't let me borrow it because he was in the middle of it. lol. Useless! But, I really enjoyed it. It kinda reminded me of something. Can't put my finger on it. But, it's got great humour, and an interesting story line for sure.

    I just watched episode 21 last night, and I'm loving every minute of it. This is a great series, with lots of great characters and plot bits that just make you want to discuss them and poke them around and try to figure them out before they're revealed.

    I also recently bought the soundtrack for it. Great music. ^_^

    Shido has to be my favorite character, but he's followed closely by pretty much everybody else in the cast.

    http://www.saikou-fansubs.com register there and you can download the episodes of getbackers as they are being released by saikou. they have up to ep 18 available and now and are prob gona have 19 soon.

    Kenshin told me about this series, so I downloaded the first 2 episodes. I saw episode 2 and immediately I downloaded the rest of the episodes from Kazaa. I have eps: 2-8,11,13,19,20. Episode one still didnt get downloaded.
    What I liked most about this series is how these totally different guys team up. Eventhough there is a lot <repeat> A LOT of action and fighting scenes, its nice how these characters' secrets and feelings are revealed. For example when sID was fighting the old guy in episode 8, where he felt lonely cuz he doesnt have anywhere to go for the reason that he is the last surviving member of the "People of the forest".
    Anway, I dont have a favorite character, but my least favorite is that big tits woman, Hevn >__>

    its a grande anime and jaysus it rules..hooked to it like a fish to a worm its awesome :) ...everyone should give it a go :D

    Saikou have now up to episode 37, I have seen up to almost 30 [seen 28, d/ling 29] and I hope I can d/l them all :)

    I love that anime, so funny, if only there was more detective working there :p I am taking some screen shots at the moment!! ^^

    Anyone know how long the series is suppose to last? Im hoping it will last a bit longer ^^ i heard somethin about around 60 i dunno if its true or not but its a number!

    Ok who was the 1 guy from the 4 kings that was in the Honkey Tonk?... did they ever say his name or anything? Im hopeing they will have and episode where he shows up again... there must of been some importance for him to be in atleast one episode ....

    Though I've got the first 35 episodes, I've watched only the first 8. It is really good, funny and all. It's just that I'm pre-occupied with some other animes I want to finish off first. Those being RK, Gundam SEED and GITS: SAC.

    Anime Junkies [AJ] has episodes upto 38 at the last count.

    Well, just to tell you his name, it's Kazuki. Yes, he will be part of a greater story later on. A whole Mugenjo arc. That's all I'll divulge though.

    And Shenlong, I'm currently getting the Saikou releases. They were about 3 episodes behind, but it seems they've caught up quickly, especially after abandoning Wolf's Rain.

    I performed a search and can't find a thread of this! Am I the first?
    this anime is awesome! full of comedy, drama, and has such a cool storyline. at first, I htought it would be cheesy about some guys retrieving stupid stuff for people. but its just the best of the best.

    has anyone else seen any of it?

    episode 38 gets a new end theme. the animation is whacky, paper cut-outs dancing. the fansubbers at the end write : 'Did everyone see that? The South Park people animated that Ending!'

    no I have Ishin-Anime Digital Subs. I just got episode 38 off AnimeJunkies. because I needed more. lol. but it was worth it because of that ending. I'll dl 38 off of Ishin and compare the subs when I can.

    hmm.. was it the 'Cursed Children' thats a mystery so far in GetBackers? theres this evil looking guy in the opening now too. seems to be pitted against Ban. oh well, we'll find out ^__^

    I enjoy how most of the characters have pasts. well, they all characters do whether animes show it or not, but these characters are 'deep' man.

    okay, I think you are referring to who Ginji calls 'Teshimine-san'. I don't think Teshimine is one of the four kings because they just kept on saying 'and the other one' whenever they referred to the 4th King. So, indeed, whoever the 4th king is a mystery. Teshimine, we find out in epidoe 21, is the guy who took Ginji in and raised him. Also I believe he is a powerful fighter, having fought the mid level people of the Tower.

    Don't blame you if you havn't. It's still regarded as a new anime. Currently on episode 38 on Anime Junkies [AJ] and Saikou's. That means it has been on air for 38 or so weeks, in effect it was released it Japan about 9 months ago. It's highly recommened by me and others as you may have already read. Downloads available at Kazaa as well.

    episode 39 was still a filler, and 40 will be too. so I wonder when GetBackers will start getting into a serious situation again. maybe around the middle of the 40's? thats what I think. Anyways I love the filler episodes. they are hilarious! anyways, maybe its just me, but I find Kazu-chan so kawaii!!

    I'ts done! It finished at episode 49! I really don't think much was resolved at all. I hope they continue woth another show or an OVA later on. For now, they better continue the story in the manga. :(

    Yeah, so I've heard. 49, heh, couldn't they make it 50? :p I find it funny number for anime :D

    I am still in episode 45, looks like something disapointing will happen in the end for me about it =/
