In fact the ending song was a bit of a give-away... I knew he was going to die from the very start... think back to the first ending song and the camera moving slowly across the characters in a destroyed background... when the camera comes up to Murrue Ramius, you see a cross in front of her and a necklace... that sorta gave it away already... anyway TheSonOfBattles to make up for the dreaded action I made, heres a very good link to download the remaining episodes of this series... it's Bittorrent service so it downloads at the top of what your speed is capable of... enjoy.

If I were you... download the Haro^2 fansubs, they were the ones I followed after Animejunkies withdrew their episodes. they are good as well.

Anyways, in regards to the last post. No biggie, up to Gundam Seed 48 now, and counting. Can't wait to finish, but unfortunately I do tend to keep seeing things that are spoiling bits and pieces for me, cause I keep goin to sites where there are spoilers. Own fault really.

Thanks for the link by the way, really appreciate it for the music alone at the very least. Downloading using dc++ at the moment, and that's coming along fast enough for me. Who's the best for subs by the way, you mentioned haro^2, but most of my stuff is Anime Junkies.

 

AnimeJunkies stopped subbing it at episode 44, if you go to AJ now you would see that they have taken off all their Gundam Seed off Bittorrent. You can't download it directly from that site anymore. That's because Bandai has licensed it and no one dare much licensed stuff. From the link I gave you Haro^2 continued to fansub SEED until the very last episode. They make good subs as well and I think they will be back when SEED 2 arrives.

I've seen five minutes of it and I already like SEED. The character designs are striking and fresh, and that really appeals to me.

As far as release dates go, all I've heard is 2004. The manga of SEED will be out from Del Ray in April, so I'm guessing that the anime will be released around that time? (That's how it worked with King of Bandit Jing, pretty much).

 

Gundam Seed is going to be released in America at around April 2004. It could be Summer though, but it is definately coming in the first 6 months of 2004. Be prepared... promise not to disappoint.

You forgot to mention unnoriginal. That character designer doesn't seem to know how to make characters look different. One too many of his characters look similar to another.

Personally, I really dislike the character designer for SEED, like I said, his innovation scale isn't very high... =/

 

To be fair with you, now that I looked back at the show, which I still regard as my favourite Gundam series... the characters are rather bland.. the only area which I found the animation was not at it's best. The mecha on the other hand is great.

I havn't heard much about Seed 2? Anyone got info?

All that has been announced that they are making it, it is already liscenced (and Bandai cares this time) and it will be out in Oct 2004. I guess that it will be in American soon after that.

On a good note Gundam SEED:Astray is aviable for pre-order for TokyoPop so this is the begin of the SEED releases that will 2004.

 

oh ya thats right ZakoSolider Gundam Seed 2 is scheduled to air in October of 2004.
"During the Comic-Con Gundam panel, Sunrise Director Matsumoto Satoru responded to an audience member's question about a Gundam series to follow SEED. According to him, the new series will be Gundam SEED 2, relesed in Japan in October 2004.' That was from a site i found.

I bought the entire collection of Gundam Seed and have already finished it long time ago. Ya teh ending was rather kinda too open. You just wish there was more. Thats good theirs Gundam Seed 2

 

now i heard there is no more Seed 2--the plan has be crush so for the OAV movie.

Is there a confirmation on that? And no news on Seed 2, I guess it will mean they halted the project.

 

i have seen the first 12 episodes of this new anime ( I have all 50, just have not yet watched) if you have heard of it what do you think of it. compare itto other gundam series, and tell me your fav characters.

So Gundam Seed... it's been half a year since I finished watching it. It was a good series, I thought the story was a little slow at first... it gets good at around episode 29. Now the following may contain a number of spoilers so read at your own risk:

Possible spoilers ahead

Favourite male character is either Deakka Elthmann. Deakka was almost my favourite character from the very beginning (partly because I liked his buster gundam) with Asuran being my then favourite character. But I liked how he developed, his dilemmas and chemistry with Millilia were interesting. However he didn't feature that much nearer the end which pissed me off.

Favourite female character is Cagalli, being arrogant and innocent she usually is the scene-maker and a lot of interesting twists is often linked with her. For example

Cagalli is Kira's sister... shock, horror

Can the relevant mod forward this... or merge this to the correct thread in Gundam forum.

Iwould like to see it dubbed but i have the episodes on dvd subbed anyway....so i dont really need to. What Is your guys favourite character?
I like rakusu (sorry if I misspelled) and kira....cant choose which one...

 

It's Lacus, though from the subs I have use a few differant variations on that including the one you used, rakusu. It's Lacus officially as far as I know.

 

sorry... I am new to THIS forum and i didn't see any other seed threads. so I made one...it must have been on another page.
My favourite male character would have to be asuran zara and my favourite female would be rakusu klien. (sorry if I misspelled)
