    here's another question thing for you all, eh.
    What's the funniest anime you've ever seen?

    for me it's a battle between:

    Saber Marionette J
    Mahou Tsukai Tai
    and City Hunter

    I haven't seen Excel Saga though but I heard it was funny

    hei, comedy sux...but I find some quite funny, they just have to eb real wacko....personal favorite is FLCL...I must say that Techi is really good for bein' a pure comedy show....

    Excel saga is quite good...really crazy show, and the best of all, nothing really happens...and the few things that actually do happen...they make no sense at all

    "and here's a nurse who will show up in episode 7"....I loved it ^_^

    I'd have to say Excel Saga and Furi Kuri are the most wackiest funny animes I have ever seen, but some of the best anime series have at least one or two very funny episodes, ex. Cowboy Bebop

    Goldenboy id ROFL sometimes. The corkscrew in ep 3 haha!

    hum, vgai* aint really that much comedy... more love story...ist still real great though, specially the manga....can't wait til chapter 69....

    Check out Excel Saga! It's hoo Hoo Hoo-Hoo Galandoo! Kinda like FLCL, but without much plot to get in the way.

    heh well, ping pong club ranks atop my list along with goldenboy..hehehe you should have seen the reaction (and the surrounding mystery) to the discovery of a squid frozen to my friends car and then the next day getting a sad letter...we all laghed our butts off, but still carry the fear that the ping pong club lurketh...*^-^*

    Ain't too pushed on comedy anime, and since most of it revolves around young girls and their pranks or stupidity (no offence to young girlies on the board or in general, ... of course! :p )

    But i thought Vandread was pretty funny, even tho once again it was much like nadesico and all the other women and men relationship woes and whatnot.

    I think anime is at its best when its serious, for me the comedy is really an asian thing , and as much as i get it, i don't really find it funny. Probably hilarious to a slightly stiff community like japan [​IMG]

    I believe one needs a bit of everything, drama, comedy, what-not in an anime.
    Even Violinist of Hameln had a few funny moments..err very few..but hey, if one finds dramatic moments or when a character goes berserk funny...well its just them.



    Seraphim -man I almost died when that dude with the huge moustache in Excel Saga came to interview three dudes and to impress them did a triple side flip, landed on his ankle, smashed his head and died, then came back to life and his moustache fell off and he put it back on wrong and he...

    Well , i don't see the need to have a bit of everything , i don't like romance movies so i don't watch 'em, same goes for anime comedy.
    It doesn't appeal to me, its fine having the odd scene where something silly happens to lighten the mood, but other than that its a genre you either like or don't much like most things.

    As for violinist , saw it ages ago , watched the first episode and definetly didn't like it.
    Playing mozarts requiem to kill that big dead chap , errrrr , no thanks.

    I usually open my mind to all types of anime...I prefer action anime though(such as Spriggan). Ranma is funny too, but it just goes overboard sometimes though. Such as when Ranma lost his/her memory and Ranma male was running around acting like he was gay or something.

    Seraphim is just happy theres so MANY MANY different genres of anime for her to watch and enjoy or hate and scream and run from it...

    Thought Violinist got better round the 6 or 7 episode...
