It seems to me a thread like 'what is your favourite anime', or 'what anime do you like' could be turned into an argument. Maybe it's just me, but I usually find myself holding back stuff.

Something like this could be interesting. Let's just call it a 'debate' to give us a better chance at keeping it civil. Assuming anything to debate ever pops up.

Where's one of the evil denizens of the forum when you need one?

"Well, I ain't evil, but just good looking. Starting with my [NEEDLES!!!], and baby get cooking!"

I, too, could go for an argument, but I'd like to see something kept clean for once ... no flames, no biting, no hitting below the belt, etc.

I could come up with a topic for everyone, but it'd be horribly boring.

I get too cartoony when Sailor Moon's involved ... something about watching the dub too much ... heck, even once is too much.

However, I'm up for a little mayhem. Anyone for doomsday?

Good Dirty topic!@.. Im Pro Choice For Abortion!
WHY Because Im sick of seeing teenagers and ppl my age in school with no jobs no way but there parents to suport the child.. So why bring a new life into the world when You cant afford to give the child a good life.. Sure you love them none the less. but when they hit your ages the odds are they will end up back in your shoes.. So Give ppl the chance to break the cycle.. Or if you dont want to abort.. give it up for adoption!!!!!!!!!!!!

hehe...yeah...mean topic...this will be ugly shortly i know it...<shrug> oh well...pro for it...i mean, in the states, the country pretty much pays for the baby when the mom goes on wellfare...and raises the unwanted child...and well, adoption, unless they change the law so you can't take the kid back after someone else has raised it for 17 years, it's pointless...i would rather a girl abort than leave the baby to drown in the toilet of wal-mart or dropped in a garbage dumpster...

I cant choose a side, because it depends on how her family reacts to their 'newest' member of the family.
Some families are open about this subjects, but would even kick out their own daughter because their ashamed of their carelessness.
1-If the family were ashamed that their teenaged daughter get pregnant they may force her out of the house.
    >There would be a chance that the girl would think that an abortion so that she could remove the barrier that keeps her from her family.
    >The girl would not have strenght to take care of herself and the child thats growing in her womb so she may have an abortion
    >If she lived at another place, the child will be raised in a confused and dark surrounding. He/she would not know their own family. They maybe called a "bastard's" child, which has an effect of the girl/boy's self esteem.

So I guess the main reasons for abortion is from the pressure the girl is getting from her family. I know thats its inhumane to kill a fetus/embryo for the sake of avoiding embaressment, but its inhumanely to raise a child in a hard world where he is cut off from his family. To me family is everything, so its better to raise your child with your family!

hum... i think that if you don`t want to have kids then be carefull or don`t have sex! simple right? but then when i think twice seems selfish of my part... i agree with toomaa-chan why raise a kid when he/she is going to be unhappy... but if someone asked me about a opnion i would accept it b/c of the kid not the parents. after all you DO have how to prevent, and how avoid...

    note: just my opinion

I just believe that women should have their own choice as to whether to abort the child or not, without the hassle of agressive, pro-lifers. They're acting as if abortion is some sort of incarnate of Lucifer or something, that it's such a big deal. We already have enough of a problem with the population, having reached over six billion (I believe that was it). If it were left to raise these children, the population would end up growing rapidly and we'd more than likely run out of resources twice as fast as we would normally, we'd starve ourselves with such a massive increase. But then again, I don't really know what I'm talking about, soooooooo... ><

    A Modest Proposal

This reminds me of something we read in English class...It was "A Modest Proposal," By Johnathan Swift. It told of sloutions for both the low food and igh poulation problems in ye olde England (16 or 17 hundreds...i forget...)

    Anyways...
    I am pro Choice.
Who are all these mortals to proclaim that it is Anti God to have an abortion? God does not talk to many people these days, and even when he does, not many listen. It is a woman's choice as to whether or not she wants to keep a child, and as sick as this may sound, it may be better for the child to never to be born than to live life as a mistake, an unwanted, seldom attended to bother, and as mean as this sounds, some people actually see it this way.
As a wise man once said, "I don't agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."
Damn, i feel dirty now, i need a shower.

I used to be profoundly anti-abortion, for religious, emotional and downright aesthetic reasons but not any more. Apart from the fact that religion is no longer a part of my life, I work in a public hospital in a poor socio-economic area and unpleasant as abortion may be it is better than handing a newborn over to some selfish moronic drug addict to abuse to death. I also get to work with so many heartbreakingly under-loved children that I support the idea that some people are just better off not being born at all.

Hey, when we've had enough of abortion I have some other favourite topics for an argument. They always seem to start a brawl when they come up.

    1) Is circumcision of male infants justifiable or is it just needless torture and mutilation?

    2) Is the use of huge four-wheel drive vehicles as suburban family cars profoundly anti-social or what?

You may be able to pick where I stand on both of these topics!

What about if a girl gets pregnant after being raped? Would you still be against abortion in this case? Would you leave a criminal's baby grows in the womb of a girl that lost her innocence?

on abortion i am pro-life for religious reasons and its just me i cant stand the thought of it...i mean you could be destroying the next mozart or michelangelo or something like that...if you dont want to have a child or cant take care of it DONT HAVE SEX IN THE FIRST PLACE! i mean cmon! its the easiest way to solve the whole situation!! of course as firm as i am on that someone has to go and say "what if the girl gets raped or something of the like??" well for that i just cannot come up with a good response. i could say i would still not abort but then the next person would say "you say that now but what about when your faced with the ridicule and embarrassment of having to carry a child out of wedlock etc etc" that specifically is a difficult choice...i just dont know where i stand there but as for the kids just having some late night fun and then deleting their mistakes...well you all can see my thoughts about that
oh yes and the other two topics ill have to get back to you on; need to get more info on the subjects...^.^
