RPG Archives Into the Wind Season 2

Both Aarzon and Kalira rode in silence for most of the way thru town. It wasn't much of a surprise that it would be a quiet journey. If Aarzon had really wanted too, he could communicate with her telepathically.

The path to the outskirts of the kingdom was a little over a hours ride. The entire way, Aarzon kept a watchful eye on the surroundings -- not knowing whether or not danger would attack from any direction.

At last, they reached the borderline. Aarzon seemed more upset now than he had been when they were still in the castle. Turning his horse to face Kalira, he stopped directly in front of her.

Aarzon: "Kalira, if there were anything in the world I could do to make you stay, know that I would do that in a heartbeat. I have never been good with expressing my feelings towards anyone before. My sense of duty has always interferred with any chance of a personal life. I need you to know that my feelings for you are very strong. By me letting you rode across this border, I am giving up a big piece of my heart. I feel I must say this now, otherwise i wont get another chance to say it. My loyalty is to my sister--My heart is yours....."

He reached into a pouch he had on his belt and pulled out a gold medallion on a long chain. In one motion, he placed it on Kalira's neck.

Aarzon: "This belonged to my mother. It was given to me just before she pasted on. She told me it was for a lady who would capture my heart and show me happiness in a time of darkness. I have found that someone in you."

Saying this, he leaned forward and gave Kalira a gentle hug and soft kiss on the cheek. He than backed his steed away from her and bowed his head.

 

Kalira stared dumbfounded at Aarzon for a long moment. 'Has he just...admitted he has feelings for me?' Smiling with radiance she turned the medallion over in her hand before turning to look at Aarzon's bowed head. Steering her mount towards his she stopped next to him and turned his face to look her in the eyes. "It pains me more then you can imagine leaving you like this. And you cannot give me a gift with out receiving one in turn." Dropping her gaze she leaned forward brushing his lips lightly with her own. Blushing she turned her face up, gaging his reaction. "Thank you for everything. I shall never forget you my love." Reaching her hand up she cupped his cheek, tears streaming down her face.

 

OOC: Reign, could u please send me a little summary of what happened and i'm sorry to say that i won't be able to reply as often as i have in the past... srry guys... but i still hope u guys will let me be a part of this.

 

Aeralyss broke her gaze from her window and sat down on the comfort of her own bed. She sighed. She then remembered what she had said to her people-

"If you do not leave now...I will burn all of your houses and slay all of your children."

She had to say those awful words to her people in order to keep them safe...but they had no idea she was only trying to protect them.
"I sounded...just like that man*..." she said softly.
"They probably hate me now...they think I'm just like...that man."
But then it hit her all of a sudden-
"The Dark Lord...and Nick!!" she exclaimed as she jumped from her bed.

that man* = Aeralyss's father. She refuses to call him her father so instead refers to him as "that man"

 

Athena smiled, she had entered the room in angel form so all was silent and said, "Hey there old friend, don't be so hard on yourself some of your people understand. Trust me."

 

Aarzon remained at the border for a few moments as Kalira rode away from him. He didn't want to admit that THIS might be the last time he would see her again. He waited til she was almost out of the horizon before he pulled up the reigns on his horse and turned towards the kingdom.

As he rode back, he kept thinking about the vision he had received prior to all this. They needed to know the fate of Prince Xavier. He started to ride faster now. He had to get back to the palace before any other surprises popped up.

Aarzon arrived at the palace just before nightfall. Aeralyss had doubled all the guards on the wall and towers.

After being let in the main gate, he headed directly for the royal council room where their original meeting was to take place. He had hoped all would be present at this time.

As he walked through the palace, he began to see the visions again. This time they were much more painful. He needed to brace himself against the wall to keep from falling.

'What is happening to me?? Can the dark forces be this strong so quickly???'

 

Aeralyss, while roaming through the castle, spotted Aarzon leaning to the wall. She gasped as she raced to his side and helped him stand. "Brother! What's wrong?" she asked as she tried to help him. She quickly brushed the stray silver hairs out of her eyes as she got a closer look at him. She didn't know what to do, to her, Aarzon had always been sort of a 'knight in shining armor' to her. Always there to rescue her if ever she were to be in trouble. It was then that Aeralyss placed one of her hands on her sword, if any enemy were to approach. "What has disturbed you so, Aarzon?" she asked softly.

 

At this point, Aarzon was almost craddled in his sisters arms. He looked up at her as if a helpless child.

Aarzon: "The visions are getting stronger each time. I fear we are about to face our darkest hour. I am not sure our combine powers will be enough for what is too come."

 

"He is correct." said Karmi approching Areylass from the backside. we must stop it as quick as possible. We must leave on a journey to embark our mark in the dark ness and shatter it like glass shattered by a human good lawful soul." said Karmi giving a new example to the group. We should spleit up in pairs and meet back up. I will go with Athena and you two can got together. Though we all must leave a bit of magic in diffrent parts of the town and castel. We can't leave them toatally defenless. I shall place a blessing around the castle. But they only last so long so our mission time shall be limited. But first.." said Karmi. He bent down and healed Arazon pains a bit. " That should help. I will be back princess, I swear it." Karmi disspared into mid air.

 

Angel Athena, who had also been in that hall, walked over to Aera and Arazon and said, "I'll do all that i can to help, i will be right back, i'm going to see if there's anything i can do to help Karmi with his blessing, after all, i'm an angel for now."
she then went to find Karmi.

 

Aeralyss smiled softly as she watched them scurry off. "They're really something...aren't they?" she asked aloud as she stood up. "Did Karmi's healing work well? I know it did, he's a wonderful mage." she said to her brother. "These visions...what was it this time?" she asked him, knowing that it wasn't going to be good.

 

Aarzon rose slowly to his feet. This time not needing the wall for support. Although heal by Karmi, he still seemed weakened in some way. The look on his face let his sister know that bad news was about to be spoken.

Aarzon: " The visions are getting more and more powerful each time they hit. It is almost as if they are attacking us through our minds. The images I have seen suggest that we will not will this battle which lies ahead of us. These creatures have the ability to fight us without being seen. How do we combat against such a threat?? We must get in contact with Prince Xavier. It is the only way I feel we can stand a chance--we must unite the families and combine all our forces to fight this army of darkness."

 

"You're right. I've delayed it long enough!" Aeralyss replied as she closed her eyes and began to concentrate heavily.
"Xavier..." she thought silently.

Meanwhile, in the other continent, Prince Xavier was safe and sound. He was sitting on his throne reading documents. "Prince Xavier...those documents are over 5 years old...why are you reading them now?" a soldier asked as he looked at his prince. "Oh...um...why do you always have to ask such questions!? Why don't you go play with your swords or something?" Xavier replied.
"All daily duties have been fulfilled, sir."
"Then make up a new duty."
"I can't."
"And why not?"
"I need permission. It clearly stated in the oath that I need permission to do almost anything."
"No wonder you always stare at me while I'm eating...newbies...you always take things so seriously."
Just then, the document folded down to reveal that he wasn't looking over documents at all, instead he was reading manga.
"Um...Prince Xavier...that's not-"
"You are dismissed!!"
"But sir!"
"NOW!!!"
The soldier then left Xavier in his throne room all alone to read his precious manga. It was then that he heard his old friend's voice.
"Xavier..."
"Huh...? Is that you Aeralyss?"
"Yes...are you all right?"
"Well, I'm pretty aggrevated right now but other than that I'm fine. How have you been?"
"Well..."
"What's wrong?"
"Terrible things are happening. I need you here now."
"First tell me what's going on!"
**Aeralyss explains the situation**
"I'm on my way Aeralyss. I'll try my best to get there ASAP."

Aeralyss disconnected and looked at Aarzon. "He's fine and unharmed. He's on his way over." she said.
