That would make for an interesting fanfic idea...Otaru finding out that he may be a pure clone...

Yeah, I'm sure sure his hair will start falling out soon. But the Marionettes will still love him of course.

By the by, I think it was around episode 20. In the beginning of the episode it showed Otaru as the Shogun of Japones, but he was being kinda dirty with the marionettes. I think Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry were wondering if Otaru was Ieyasu... Although I couldn't make it out because the prologues of the fansubs are raw. Can someone with the commercial sub tell me what was going on here?

Basically,Cherry and Bloodberry were discussing the future of Japoness without the Shogun. Bloodberry suggested that Otaru take the throne for himself, which caused Cherry to go off into another of her perverted fantasies... Said fantasy (probably because it included Lime and BB) caused her to change her mind and say that Otaru would be a horrible ruler. The whole time,Lime kept asking "What's wrong with that?" and being largely ignored...^_^*

InuYasha - or were you refering to ep. 20 of J to X?

    LOL at hair falling out
and LOL at Cherry's fantasy. What a classic.

To add to the possible fanfic brew.. if he found out he was a pure clone, and was to be the ruler, wold he get Ieyasu's memories implanted?

Good question. However,I suspect that he wouldn't have Ieyasu's memories implanted. There are two main reasons for this.

One,in ep. 15,Ieyasu explicitly stated that he didn't have any clear memories of Lorelei, which would likely not be the case if he had had implanted memories.

Secondly,Ieyasu and Faust took completely different approaches to rescuing Lorelei. Faust was so obsessed with rescuing Lorelei himself that he wouldn't trust it to anyone else, and wanted his memories to survive, presumably so that the Faust that rescued Lorelei would be exactly like the Faust that she remembered. Ieyasu seemed content to play a reduced role in Lorelei's rescue,as long as someone from Japoness who fit the requirements to make the marionettes' Maiden Circuits grow were found. If that person's personality were monkeyed with by implanting memories, however, it might impair his ability to raise the marionettes. However,if that someone knew why they were tasked with raising Lime and the others, they might refuse to go along with the plan because he might feel that using the marionettes like this was wrong (as Otaru certainly did once he found out the truth).
