    er well it depends on when your talking about. Rurouni Kenshin OVA takes place in the bakumatsu 4th year of the Genji...Rurouni Kenshin takes place in Meiji 11...

    :) I never seen the OAV, I only seen the episodes of Runouni Kenshin. I have been wanting the DVD of Runouni Kenshin, and that was just after watching the first episode.:cool:

    ill tell you now the DVDs arent cheap...the whole set is gonna cost you around...550 US dollars...

    they're more fun to watch since you get to hear the japanese versions without searching around for the subbed videos...

    :) I know, you can get the subtitled DVDs, besides, I tried to looked some information on the Shinsen Gumi today at the library. I was trying to find some books on the Shinsen Gumi and Saitou Hajime, but I found some resouces on www.miburo.com.:D

    You should really watch teh OVAs, they make you see RK in a completley different way...

    Oh, if anyone gets the chance, I have this really touching SX AMV (anime music video) about Kenshin and Tomoe! It's not online anymore, so lemme know if ya want it and I can stream to ya through aim or something. ^_^

    ok to get back to the main point of this particular thread was Kenshin in real life...he never existed but his master Katsura Kogorou did. he looks very distinguished in the portrait of him. he seems very much a leader...Kondo Isami also wasnt very exaggerated from his real side. nor was Yamagata Aritimo...or Okubo Toshimichi....Watsuki-Sensei kept quite close to what they really looked like...
