Debate Lesbians more accepted then Gays?

Hrm, I'll give this a shot. Well, as most of you...probably know.. straight guys like girls, and, for most guys, that rule, sadly, applies mainly to looks coz a lot of guys that you see out can be real pigs.. so it's only natural for a guy to like two girls on each other.. because it's two of the same gender type that he likes to see expressing sexual mannerisms. When a girl sees two guys doing their nasty bit then I don't really expect most girls to flip out and go 'Wow that's so HOT' coz most girls that I know have an easier time keeping their pants on in situations like these. I know I'm not doing a lot of justice to my own kind out there, but we all know that this is true. As far as guys on guys.. from my personal perspective, I am alright with the relationship because I see it all the time where I live, but natually it makes me uncomfortable if two men are going nuts right in front of me. Reason? Well that's because there is a time and a place for that stuff, and usually if I see it, it's in public. However, at the same time, it would also make me uncomfortable for two women to be doing the same thing, or a girl and a guy really.. It all boils down to common decency. The odds are.. if you're seeing it, and you're not at some party or an orgy or something, then it shouldn't be happening anyway.. and it SHOULD be making you uncomfortable.

I dread the day that I become accustomed to indecency in any shape or form..

Really though.. I suppose it makes people more comfortable to just label homosexuals as wrong, and feel like they're on top. It's a broken world that we live in lol. All we can really do is deal with it.

Most guys would say lesbians cause a lot of them have that kind of a fantasy. Just about every guy actually. I know some gay guys and they know that Im straight so they leave me alone but i still talk with them and stuff. Its true though, girls are more open with their sexuality than guys cause guys are just like that.

lesbians are more accepted, based on the fact that women are inherantly bi, they all are, I have yet to met a woman that isn't bi in fastion or another, they act like they arn't but 95%+ are, and all my female friends agree with me on that

the straight female friends that i have are "straight" and thats. they don't like girls except as friends.

 

put women in rooms together and they will end up doing stuff, thats they;ve all told me at one point or another, women don't mind looking at eacher, even if it is only apraising eyes do wander, and women will think about it at one point or another, they sometimes even 'practice' kissing with each other and such

 

you don't know that for a fact. guys don't minf looking at each other either. im sure guys also think about it at one point or another. yeah some girls practice kissing on each other, not all of them do stuff like that. maybe the Females that you hang around with will do stuff like that. but my heterosexual friends won't even speak of it.

is that so.... so all your girly friends amount to what percentage of all the women in the world...usually for a good survey you have about a hundred or so samples.... I mean people. Ask around forty random women of mixed age and race and then I might be more inclined to believe you, but right now your source is biased. Oh and the question can't be biased either. if your females friends are the ones that say all females are bi; then how about the fact that they are the ones that Bisexual.

 

this is what i personally see behind why lesbiens are more accepted in society. appart from lesbiens being amazingly hot to guys, the stereo typical view of homosexuals is that they tend to act like the opposite sex (which isnt always true but yay for stereotyping -_-; ) if a girl acts like a guy then whatever, shes butch and tomboyish which is cool and appealing to lots of guys anyway so no big deal to people. besides, lots of strait girls are tomboyish anyway. but since a guy is expected to be 'manly' and tough like an iron hammer, anything less is unacceptable so since gays are viewed as acting girly "BAM" automatic outcasts.

also i thought i might add a contradicting statement to this thread. metrosexuality is becoming a very popular lifesyle now (at least in my area, i dont know about where everyone else lives) and i forsee this potentially changing this issue

I dissagree, I think both female and male are accpeted but then again I think it all depends on where you live and how people think about it. Straight people are boring and I mostly have bysexual,gays, and lesbian friends and none of my lesbian friends bother me even though some of them put the moves on me or grab my butt and bobbies..it just makes me laugh and its fun, I do the same to them! ..but either way I don't think lesbians are accpeted than gay guys, but thats what I always saw back at school..I know it hasn't change..well so far..but that's my own opinion....and happy neonoodle chick, so that means "so and so" is no crush anymore? :bleed2:

is being ogled by society the same as being accepted? Is it the same as getting the rights you deserve as a human being? Lesbians don't get any more acceptance really if all they are is a sex object to men. I mean women have always been sex objects to the majority of males and yet until the 1900's women didn't even have the right to own property... unless a lady was a widow. wait maybe I am getting acceptance confused with rights... oh well.
But does sex appeal = acceptance... does a bunch of guys staring at lesbians make them more acceptable? Do to hot lesbians get accepted more than two who don't look that great? If a lesbian told her parents, do you mean to tell me that they would act differently than if their son told them he was gay? And if sex appeal is such a big factor, then why the hell were gay men seen as acceptable in feudal Japan?

i think that the reason is that about everyone agrees, girls look better than guys, and are more attractive than guys. so, barring homosexual males, pretty much everyone can relate to a lesbian more than a gay man. at least thats the impression i get from my (both male and female) friends.

 

So then.... ugly people have less rights and are less acceptable than pretty people. More people can some how "relate" to a pair of lesbians better than homosexual males. Everyone wants to be pretty... and rights don't matter so long as guys ogle you when you are walking down the street. Sexual appeal does equal being accepted.
So that is society... okay.
Maybe if there were more sexy pagans then they would be accepted better in America.

 

You guys are forgetting the most obvious things of all- Our Genes. Men think they run the world. Men like women. The more women the better. Most men think having a harem would be awesome; it's in our genes. So what are lesbians?

It's similar to the reason why men like catfights and mudwrestling. Deep down they're thinking "Eventually the clothes are coming off..."

A typical man has two brains and the smaller one (I mean the one in his pants... -.-; ) tends to exert its influence in a little more subtler manner.

With regards to homosexuality the attraction is a mental one that overrides the genetic one. It's the brain saying "Forget you, chromasomes, this is more fun!!", and off they go to do thier own thing.

Sexy pagans? That would be like in the Miss Teen America Pagent nominees going "My wish is would be for world peace, for all hungry children to be fed, and that Krishnu-Vallah and Thorneus- mighty God of the woods, watch over me at all times."

Not to be a bigot, but it doesn't quite have the same ring as the same "thanking god for everything" line they all babble about infront of the camera.

Not all males are less attractive. Some guys are hot, as in girl-hot. Ever been to a drag show? For a really good example, look up Brain Molko. He gets hit on by straight guys all the time, who assume he's a woman.

Also, I don't think that society neccesarily accepts lesbians more. It could just be that single women have been living alone together for centuries, so no one finds anything wrong with it. Whereas, if two guys lived together for twenty years--people might ask questions.

 

I think gay men are more accepted than gay women. Not sure why, maybe because guys are more open about it? I see lot more gay guys holding hands in public then I see lesbians. And, alot of people are experimental with their sexuality these days, like becoming bi.

 

it really does depend on where you are. out here in Torrance Females are more open about it.

 

I, being a bisexual myself, believe that both gays and lesbians are beautiful people who take pride in being different. the end. ^_^
