Too true. I cant agree with you more Amon. Even tho you should give praise to some people for starting something, you shouldnt give it to just anyone, because like amon said there would be a bunch of Hitler worshipers. ekk.

And you couldnt get any more correct, merging slipknot and backstreet boys is a very very bad idea.

(ack the spelling its terrible :glazed: )

Linkin Park didn't really start anything. The Nu Metal "movement" was really started back in the mid-to-late 1990's by bands like Limp Bizkit and Korn. Hells, I can't really think of a Limp Bizkit CD that doesn't have at least one hip-hop song on it, and you can't really argue that they were rock. And both Limp and Korn had emotional lyrics, such as Korn's Falling Away From Me, or Limp Bizkit's No Sex. When Linkin Park came into the spotlight a few years back, they had the benefit of a plethora of similar bands to play with.

I'm invoking Godwin's Law and closing this down.

Start another if you wish, though I don't think there is much more to say. LP didn't start anything (original), and whiny music sucks. But they're nice to listen too! and life really does suck! There, I think that sums it all up.
