Recreation Magic the Gathering

any of you guys play?
I have a black/red magic deck.

 

I have a ton of things. I have those ones with the six colored stones on the back. My favourite is the Hurloon Minotaur. It sucks as a card but it looks cool.

 

I play old school... but I rock at it still And I'm glad that the cards I have(well my bro has) aren't illegal in normal play. But still, I should look into buying some new cards so I can enter a tournament!!

The deck I'm playing now is white and black

 

I used to play M:tG almost obsessive-compulsively, had bazillions of cards... then I stopped playing and wound up seeling off my collection, except for my intensely destructive Red/White deck.. Haven't actually played in like 2 years now.

Normal is 'type 2', which DOES make them illegal. Playing for fun is referred to as Casual Play.

As for me, I'm sooooooooooooo glad that Slivers are back in the new set.

I still play occasionally, when I can convince my roommate and a friend of ours to join me. I got started quite a bit later than a lot of people I know, and most of my cards are relatively new. I've got three decks in current construction (black/blue, black/blue/bit of red, and blue/white/green). One of my favorite cards (aside from my two Sengir Vampires) is my Starter-level Thorn Elemental. I also like how my b/w/g deck is recycling (creatures that recycle the graveyard, cards that recycle the creatures). I've got plans for a nightmare/zombie/rat deck in the future.

Favorite card? Must be serra angel...have 4 from 7th edition, 2 from 4th editon and one from revised
I've also got 2 radiant, Archangel. Seen the pic? A true Angel
But also Baron Sengir. He's like the motor in my Black Deck. He might be expensive (5 colorless and 3 swamps) but with some dark portal, you're dead

Legions has just got into the stores....anyone gonna buy the boosters? I'm just gonna get this card cause i'm so obessed with angels

 

Ah...I had this wonderful Black deck that got stolen from me...I called it "Sengir Death"...It had a Baron Sengir, 4 Sengir Vamps, a Lady Sengir, a Sengir Autocrat, and 4 Sengir bats...and an avatar of Woe ^_^=

Nothing beat the way i played...if i got something strong and one of my four exhumes, id play two mana, wait till i had to discard, throw out the creature, and exhume it... I was evil.

That was stolen...

Now i play a Blue/White Rebel Control deck...its pretty good, but i miss my Sengirs...-sniff-

If you get a starter deck (or at least i think thats what its called)
it has rules, how to play, and little booklet things that fold out so you can put your cards on it. It has a place to put your deck and and a place for your graveyard.

 

Ah, Magic the Gathering. I got into it eight or so years ago and have been playing on and off ever since. Have a fairly good sized collection of cards (mostly older stuff, but with some newer expansions). My current preferred combination is red/green, although I do like playing white/green and white/blue. I really need to expand and make more decks.

I don't know how many of my cards are actually tournament legal at the moment, but I'm not into the game for tournaments. I'm in it for fun.

They do run them, although not often. Also, the GME has a T1 game every friday night, although its a group game for all those who didn't make it into the playoffs (if they wanna play). But those games of Multi are probably some of the best there are, especially with all the back stabbing that goes on.

 

wow, people actually play CCG's here... who'd have guessed.

I used to play, but gave up after the set hyper-inflation kicked in (around masques they started churning out about 1k new cards per year :glazed: )
I know a guy called Mike Canu, any of you ever heard of him? right now he's on the Pro Tour in Venice Italy playing in the World Championships. he could win 30,000$

right now, i play a few different CCG's, but i used to be pretty bad-*** at Mt:G though :shy3:

oh yeah, end of March im going on an all-expenses payed trip over to the states to play a new CCG in the world championships
not bad to be 1 of 4 participants out of a 100k+ player base huh?
