Kyo wears a black and white bead bracelet on his left wrist. It's always there, and it's, well, important. And yes, that's why Kyo put his hand over Kagura's mouth

No, we won't. You don't see it until the last three episodes of the series, and those are all on the fourth DVD.

Nope, you're not. I only finished watching this series about a week ago, so I've tried to avoid this forum before that. Yeah, I didn't think that form was scary at all; in fact, I said in another thread that I thought he was "huggably cute". I love his voice in this form, too (in the Japanese; not heard the English).

 

I don't think he looks that bad either, and I think the poor guy really needed someone to tell him that.

 

Agreed, the true form isn't so terrible. No offense to those who proposed how terrible it would be to suddenly be thrown into a situation like that. I guess, and I really do not mean this in any derogatory way, if you have ever been in a nursing home, certain things don't scare you anymore. (Or, scare you worse, I don't know...)

Anyway, the braclet is enchanted (wrong word for that) by a Buhdist monk (or monks? I'm not entirely clear on this myself). I say the changing has something to do with the rain as well. You notice? He weakens in the rain, for one. Gets kind of sick himself. And in both the flash back and the "present" the rain was an ever present factor.

I don't think it's that bad... but if I saw him in real life, I have to admit, it'd be pretty scary. Unless I was Tohru, and I knew that it was Kyo. Then I wouldn't be afraid at all. I'd just luff him even more. Not like his mom, though...

Umm . . . for those of you saying you'd love him anyway, watch the anime. Pay special attention to what he does to the rock . . . and Yuki . . . and Tohru. I, for one, wouldn't be brave enough to even approach him.

As for Kagura, she isn't as flamboyant as some scenes make you think. When it really counts, she knows when to hold back.

 

Yes what he does to the rock would scare the pants off of anyone. And to both Yuki and Tohru. Kagura ran away from him the first time she saw.

 

I think the same can be said of bad-smelling beggars on the streets. They must really feel lonely with all those people passing by and looking at them with pity or disgust.

Yeah... this show is a wonderful lesson of love and acceptance. Thumbs up for it.
