Sailor Moon Mamoru - Dig him or Ditch him?

Personally, I really like Mamoru, but many people don't. So here's my question:

Do you like Mamoru, or do you hate him and think Usagi would be better off without him? If so, who should Usagi be with instead?

I think Usgai would be much better off with Seiya. ^^ Yup, yup.

 

Ditch him all he does is throw roses and say some lame thing then leave. Some man at least fight some times and I mean more than once. Kusanagi in Blue seed did more thought momji was pretty wortless excpe as a love intrest.

 

It really depends on my mood.... lol

Some days he's completly worthless to Usagi and the group as a whole and all that he does it cause trouble!

But other days-

I don't think Usagi could survive without him. Not just in battle, but mamoru's brain does the work for Usagi's a lot of the time.

FR's right, Mamoru in the first two seasons was useful, and back then it was still reasonable that a rose could *maybe* own a monster.

The episode that I disliked with Mamoru in was in umm.. I can't exactly remember, It was *I think* When the scouts thought Chibi-Usa had a boyfriend and then they had to fight this monster who was a fish. Chibi Moon was falling and that big fish had It's mouth open with her ready to fall in it, But, *Bam* Tux Mask threw a rose and it shut the mouth right there and almost killed the monster. Disliked it because I wanted the annoying little twerp to get eaten! Argh!

That just isn't realistic, If Tux Mask at least got a new attack, fine, but It's getting pathetic after a while. Pink Sugar Heart Attack and Shabon Spray are more useful then his puny roses.

 

The one i really hated him in another SuperS episode, where Ami had her dream mirror removed. He never appeared int he episode to begin with, so it was just so.... UGH!!!

in the first season, he was mysterious, no one knew wo he was and he was cool.
In the second season, the love between him and Usgai, so touching.

Every other one he's a real bad supporting character.

 

If it helps, I hate them both.

Can't stand Usagi or Chibi Usa, (along with Mamoru). Manga Usagi's okay tho...

I love Minako and Mako-chan tho.

On another note, there's a great fanfic, the best Sailor Moon one out there, called Sailor Moon Neo. I like Usa-chan (Chibi Usa) then, even if all she's doing is yelling at her team mates who aren't listening to her. Ah boo hoo.

Actually on the RPG for that fanfic... I get to play usa-chan next round... hurray! XP

 

I think Usagi is better off with Seiya. I've always wanted her with Seiya ever since I saw how in love he was with her ^_^

 

Nooo! *scared look* I don't like Seiya very much. I like Sailor Star Fighter though. )))

 

I love Seiya, but Yaten rules the starlights. Besides, Usgai and Seiya did many more fun things than Mamoru and Usagi ever did. Did Mamoru ever take Usagi to the zoo and amusement park? XP

Minako needs a starlight too... She can have Taiki, I like Yaten!!!!

 

I wanted Usagi-chan with Seiya-kun too. XD He's just so much more... fiesty and fun. Mamoru was a pretty decent character during the first seasons, but after that, he became utterly useless.

All he does is give throw a rose and give a worthless speech before taking off. :anger2:

 

I so totally agree! They would make such a great couple... I just wish Mamoru would have stayed dead to be honest. Seiya and Usagi make the best couple of the whole series. And I'd like to see Yaten and Rei together too ^^ That would be Priceless

I can't stand him. It used to get to a point where I'd swich the channel EVERY time I saw the damned (possibly daimond-tipped) rose fly into the concrete.

 

I want Usagi with Mamoru! They were meant to be with one another!

I think Momoru should always be with Usagi! They were meant for each others. And besides, what about chibiusa? What about her, huh?

 

i don't know... i liked him because he seemed so nice.. although he had his moments of being a "normal" guy...

 

I really don't care for him, but I ESPECIALLY hate Tuxedo Kamen. I can't stand it when he's Kamen either!!!!

But you know, Usagi and Mamoru= true love, so...

 

I just noticed that post. If you have seen the original episodes (I am not sure if the dubbed one talks about it), Mamoru says something to this effect on the first episode of season three, "Maybe we should stop seeing each other for a little while" after learning about another test that Usagi failed. The context and form he said it in showed that they did go and do stuff together, just because we didn't see it did not mean it didn't happen. Think about this for an example, in the matrix (either one) how many times did the characters have to go to the bathroom? I never showed them, but everyone knows that it happened p gad, what an example). I believe Naoko said this during an interview, that throughout the seasons, there are certain subtle indications that Usagi has spent cinsiderable time over at Mamoru's house. How she gets by her parents is a wonder to me.

Stick with the kid baby *does mentok twirl*! Tuxedo Kamen and Usagi are meant to be.
