Yep sonic is way better then mario he could turn mario into a spagheti and luigi in to a meatball.

And if Mario should unleash a homing shell? Well, Sonic had better hope he's stocked up on rings, because thats going to bloody sting.

Especially if Mario has 3.

Alternatively, Mario simply uses one of his planes, spaceships, or genies with magic lamps to stay ahead/above Sonic and bomb the bejesus out of him.

Now odds are this would not include invincibility. Mario was achieve the next best thing simply by standing in one spot and spinning his cape. It deflects thrown objects and he cant be touched by anything on the ground. The only way to nab him when he does this is by hitting him on the head. When Sonic does go for the head shot, Mario can activate his shield (as seen in Super Smash Brothers) nullifying the attack.

Additionally, Mario has been seen improving. He used to be able to only take a couple hits. Later on he could store "reinforcements" in the box at the top of the screen. Later on he developed Hit Points and special attacks in Super Mario RPG. And in Super Smash Brothers, he just up and discarded hit points, and the only way to kill him is to toss him out of the arena, and thats not happening unless you deal a lot to him first.

And thats where the cape + shield technique comes in.

 

He has a very good point they said all there powers but would those be considered pwers or not lets ask the person who started this thread.

 

I just gave you a scenario to defeat Sonic without using planes or anything.

thats not a power.

 

Reinforcements being an additional item like a mushroom. It IS a power.

 

So! Sonic also gets all the chaos emeralds and 50 rings so fine, and he becomes super Sonic

When Sonic becomes Super Sonic, he is invincible, he's twice as fast/mobile, and pretty much the only way he can get hurt is by falling into a hole. One of Sonic's strategies could be occasionally running far away to collect more rings (increasing the duration of his Super Sonic state), then come charging back. Without the Super Sonic state, Sonic has his own series of various shields to use.
