As the thread title suggests... what was your headline of 2005?

Mine was London winning the Olympic bid for 2012 and the London terrorist bombings on 6th July and 7th July respectively.

The Katrina Storm, and of course the London Terrorist Bombing.

May your souls rest in peace.

Probably finding out that my grandma had lung cancer, and then finding out she was cured. Scary for me. Hmmm... Also Katrina and the London bombings, and then finally, visiting the WWII museum with my grandparents.

Speaking of which, you all know that he is living in Bahrain right? (so does his muslim brother).

I've heared lately that he had donated a huge sum of money to build a mosque and to bring great english teacher from USA to teach the english language.

Micheal Jackson's brother says that Micheal is asking more and more about islam.
I don't see this happening

I also heard that MJ was caught in a woman's bathroom in a mall, putting on makeup. ;)

Anyway, as far as events that happened to me, I'd have to say the time I met Neph was the most memorable. Definately a fun time.

And I'd have to say Hurricane Katrina is something that'll stick in my mind for awhile, although all of those disasters that have happened are horrible. Certainly 2005 has been a full year for rescue workers. :(

Me too on the Michael Jackson. Well...his trial. Nonetheless, it's weird. How could he win!?

His lawyer used the "Chewbacca strategy"....

As for my most memorable moment, was practically Katrina. So much happened due to its causality, i cant count it with all the fingers in my hands and toes (20 of them in total....for those who thought otherwise).

*shudders* I don't want to remember that.

I remember that from South Park. Oh God that was funny.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the 'supposed' jury... This, is Chewbacca." :p

Funny how he moved out of country when he won. That's the toatl proof that he's guilty, and he wants to remain out of jurisdiction from the United States, and start his weird stuff somewhere else...oO

Katrina was one. Rita definately because I live in Houston, though I asn't worried. The MJ trial of ocurse, just because it was funny. Also, starting 10th grade, that was a messed up day.

2005 has probably been my best year yet. Just because I started High School and I have met so many great people and gained so many new friends.

The day I took a shower at Lynsays house.. that night led on to other things that got my grounded for a month but.. it was fun ^_^

Christmas Brake of 2005 will probably stay with my for a while, it has been a fun time.

Hmm, well, aside from all of the tragic events my year was pretty uneventful. I moved... 3 times, adding up to 3800 miles, a whopping 200 miles more than '04. I... got a 500 dollar speeding ticket.... And the end of 05 meant 6 full months of being clean. Yeah, pretty much uneventful. And MJ should have been executed, when he stopped being black and normal.

    Yeah, Katrina. Yeah, Michael Jackson.

    Ok, whatever.

I spent over half the year isolated from the rest of the world with only CNN to give me clues as to what's going on out there. The biggest one that I remember (at least the one that stayed on the TV in the lounge the longest) was the death of Pope John Paul the Second. Be you catholic or not, the death of (what was) the most powerful man in the world was made into a pretty big news circus. It was huge.
