Lain is one of the better ones I've seen. Get it. It's not scary so much as it is an assault on your senses. Things get pretty damn surreal in the series. It explains curses of the 'Net...called the "Wired" in the series. Well, that and godhood. 'nuff said.

I might get this myself in a few weeks.

The main complaints I hear about Lain are that it's too slow, and that it's too cerebral. This is one of those series that should be watched all the way through in order to understand it - don't expect to know everything after the first couple of episodes.

But anyway, it's one of my favorite series. It's definitely worth checking out, but it's also not for everyone.

In essence, Lain is about a girl who becomes immersed in the Wired, or the internet, and what happens as the borders betwen the Wired and the "Real World" begin to blur and come together.

A guy named Anthony offered to let me have the whole series of Lain for 30 dollars. How many disk are there?

Neway, I'm wondering if he didn't scratch 'em all or something.

Lain is a 13 episode series on 4 dvd's. 30 dollars is a STEAL!!! Unless it's all bootlegged or something.

Gundam X isn't that good. 08th MS team is better like someone has already said.

Out of the options on the poll, I chose Evangelion. I might've opted for Trigun if it was subbed, but I can't condone dubbing.

Unless you're up for some collection scheme, don't get any of them! Those anime are so old that you could hire a tape for something like $1 and have 2 hours worth of the series on each tape. Get something new!! I would personally recommend HXH ^_^

They may be old, but they are definetely still worth watching, Omnidragon. Anime doesn't go bad with time.

I'd go for Trigun, but since its dubbed you'd be better off getting Evangelion

You're definitely right koge. That's why I suggested you rent them. Even though they are fantastic anime, I don't think its still worth the price he is prepared to pay. Anyway I voted for eva...
