I really like Noir its one of my favourites with a good message. I just need two more dvds and I'll have the set!

 

I got most from amazon.com or amazon.ca. They have good prices on anime. When I go to anime stores they are usually quite a lot more.

 

I have episodes from 1-4 d/led before, and now I knew they are on DVDs. The first 5 episodes are in the first DVD and the 2nd 4 episodes are on the 2nd DVD. So here what I did, I thought I have the first 5 so I took the 2nd DVD.

Long story short, I didn't see episode 5 which I think its kind of important. Something about the "Les Soldats"? Who are they or what do they have to do with Noir? Unless my questions are going to spoil things for me I don't want to know. I've seen up to eps. 9 and I might go get the 3rd DVD today (DVD rental place).

So I guess I am asking what important things happend in episode 5?

Varnelle phones Mireille saying he has information and to meet him. He also says his wife wants to see her. They were a family Mireille could totally trust in. So she goes with Kirika and the door is ajar and she finds the couple dead. It's alluded to later that the children were killed as well.

Mireille says it's her fault since she was investigatin who Dux was having contact with recently and that Varnelle had information.
Mireille, trying to figure out Noir is, she is treating Kirika like crap.
She goes out alone and meets Varnelle's older brother who owns a bar. There's a message left on a bottole of Whiskey for Mireille. "Mireille, in memories of the church of St. Galan" Mireille takes the bottle and realises someone is following her but he disappears.
She brings the bottle home and Kirika examines it as well. There's some cryptic code at the bottom where the d and a number are circled as well as a g and number. They brainstorm and figure out that they should search the catacombs at St. Galan.
Mireille is seen entering the catacomb alone and counts the loculi (slots where remains are) d is droit and g is gauche and counts the number of loculi slots and goes int eh direction fromt eh code on the bottle. She reaches #7 and finds an evelope under the bones. (don't you think this is kinda gross?)
Mireille comes out relazes and smiles. The guy points a gun to her head. She said to him she knew she was being followed and that he wanted the info. Kirika shoots the gun out of his hand and comes out of the shadows. They question him but more people come shooting. Mireille runs after the guy who took the envelope.
Kirika is killing people. Mireille finally has the man with the envelope at gun point. After being questioned, the man says what is in teh envelope is more important thant anyone's life in this world and that the secret must be kept. She asks if he killed Varnell and family. He says 'They' ordered him to. She asks Who are 'They'? He says 'They' are the absolute ones. Very few know about them but he does and that he is a key to them. She shoots him anyways thinking about Varnelle. Kirika comes in.. tries to say somethign but leaves.
On the parchment is this, you are good with french so I'll just leave it untranslated:

They find out that SOLDATS is their enemy.

Mireille finally tells Kirika that her parents and brother were murdered in Corsica. She doesnt know for what reason and that that was the last time she saw the watch Kirika now possesses. Kirika brought back the past with that watch.
Kirika says 'Right now you don't have anything' and Kirika apologises to Mireille. Mireille says she'll open the door to the past with her own hands. She seems to be treating Kirika better.
