Rui scowled, "hmph! Well i never wanted to be here in the first place, did I?" She reached for the sword at her belt, "and I could slit little Miss Mika's throat, Miyuri-san, and she wouldn't know what hit her!" but Rui took a deep breath and let her hands drop to her side, she then looked at the two other girls, "you guys don't know how lucky you are that I was taught not to kill on a whim." She then put her hands on her hips, and sighed. "I guess there's no use in fighting after all we've been through, especially me," She whistled and Shevan came to her as he always did, she took a sadle bag and from it a roll of bandages, which she wrapped around the wound on her arm. She then looked at the other girls and explained, "My name's Rui, I just wander around doing odd jobs, if either of you need help in anything I'll assist you for a small price." She then mounted her pony, ready to leave.
Mika places her hand up to her now bruised cheek. She glares at Rui. "I must leave.... now if you will...." Begins to walk away.
The girl in the cloak walks calmly into the small group fingering the lump growing on her forhead.'ouch...' Looking at each of them in turn, she grins wolfishly, "I am sure you all have a perfectly good explaination for being here, however that does not excuse the fact these woods are forbidden to anyone beyond the lady of the realm. The woods of the latter world are sacred, and individuals tresspassing shall answer to her." Pulling her cloak aside she revealed a sword comprised of mist and shadow, with a single emerald on the hilt. "I suggest you all speak quickly since I am she."
Rui looked at the cloaked girl, "my name's Rui, I'm just a traveller, I didn't know these woods belonged to anyone." She looked at the others, "You'd be surprised at how much is going on right now."
"miss, I found the crystals," Rui looked at her surprised, "You told me you were here to see what was happening!!" "Um..... oh yeah, about that, I couldn't just tell you could I?! I mean, there are robbers and all sorts out here!!" Her wolf ears twitched, she didn't bother hiding them under her hat as everyone understood, kinda, so she thought, now.
"You dont have them all, though," a voice echoed above them all. They all looked up, then, blinded by a mysterious light, they faintly saw a figure of a girl fal before them. As their vision returned, they all saw Ann, holding a crystal in her hand. "I understand some of you are curious about these little boys," she purred. She looked at the 'lady', and bowed a bit. "Excuse me. I am Ann, a sorceress. I mean no harm, i swear. If you wish, i will be your guardian or bodyguard." She pounded a fist against her armor. "Im not afraid of anything." ooc: is anyone a bad guy here? ill be one, if we need one...
ooc; Go ahead, we need a badguy! My character's not a bad guy, just pricess-turned kindhearted thief who also does odd jobs. ic; Rui looked at Ann, "I don't trust you, but I could use a hand getting to the next village. I can pay you alot of money if that's how you do buisiness." This was a lie, she needed no help in getting to the next village, she simply needed Ann's crystal. She remembered her mothers words, "The crystal sorcerers are massing, you must find out more about these mysterious magicians, they are dangerous..." Back then she'd been in a long, blue silk dress and a blue tiara. For she'd been the younger sister of the princess of the water kingdom. Her sister had vanished in this very area while studying crystal magic, and her mother had sent Rui to find her, and complete the task, should her sister not be found. So now she travelled the country, searching for anything she can find on the crystals. She'd been travelling to the next village to see the huge library there, where there should be information on the crystals, but the find two who wield the crystals, she couldn't believe her luck... "So," she asked, "will you be my bodygaurd?" She felt a little annoyed, she had hated everything about being a princess, especially the escorts, but this was for her kingdom's sake.
Ann eyed her for a minute, a smug look plastered on her face, and slowly nodded. "Alllright then," she agreed. "I will. How much are you paying me again?" She noticed the way Rui looked at the crystal hung around her neck and frowned slightly. "Hello?" She lifted her hand and sent a jolt of lighting through Rui. "Wanna pay attention?" she growled and flipped her cape around her shoulder. "Lets go then."
ooc: Um.... i'm not exactly on anyones side.... So I'm sort of a bad guy. ic: Mika looks the boy in the eyes. "And for what reason do you follow me?"
Ann raises an eyebrow. "Im going to take this lovely young lady to town, where does it look like im going?" She shot Mika a cold glare. "If you wish, you may come along, if there is no objections..." She glanced at Rui and cocked her head. "Is there?" ooc: we can be baddies together! wait. do we work together right now?
ooc: I dunno... i don't really care, but I'm gonna be a loner in this one for now. ic: Mika returns the glare. "I shall for now, but only because you are heading in the same direction as I am."
"Trieth, eh? I reconize that name.... Why are you following me and why do you call me M'lady?" Mika motions for him to stand up.
Rui smiled at Ann, "here's your pay," She held up a long necklace that was studded with rubies and weighed down with a massive diamond, she'd stolen it from a wealthy lady the other day. She tossed it to Ann, "sell it, wear it, buy yourself something nice if you like, I don't care. So how far can you take me with this pay?"
