Saddam Husseine is CAUGHT!

Muhahaha... hear the news? They caught Saddam (big meanie terrorist guy) hiding in a hole. He's done for!
Stuff from the news site:
· Saddam found in underground hideout near Tikrit
· No shots fired as 600 U.S. troops raided location
· He'll "face the justice he denied to millions," Bush vows
· Saddam "very disoriented" as he was led from hole
· Iraqis celebrate in streets of Baghdad

I saw that today. Since hes got the beard and everything he looks like my grampa. that was freaky.

 

He looked like Bin Laden for a moment (well, if you squint your eyes.... and look this way.... and blah blah blah :sweat: ).

The nice thing about this is that the Army can prove it beyond a doubt by DNA testing with his sons. So much for those Hussain clones coming into the equation.

He didn't even put up a fight! Wasn't he supposed to kill himself before he was taken alive?

 

Just like to point out a few things.

1. He isn’t a terrorist, dictator yes but not a terrorist.
2. There has been no mention of DNA tests being done, or that they are being done, Saddam at one stage had a speculated 100 look alikes, most with plastic surgery to make them look exactly like him.
3. The circumstances are sketchy, he was found in his home town, any smart person would never go back to there home town, it’s too obvious. On top of that he was found with two low level party members, both armed with Kalashnikovs. This man is the head of a political party, a ruler and head of an army and thousands of supporters willing to lay down there lives for him, two guards are idiotic.
4. He was found with 750,000 dollars in 100 dollar bills, in international terms, basically nothing, the man was incredibly rich, and he wouldn’t be going around with barely enough to buy a house on the south side of Dublin.

My personal overall opinion is that this is a look-alike, DNA testing will prove me wrong or right but this has not been carried out yet, and even if it is, I doubt it will be performed by an impartial body. The circumstances are too sketchy for me to believe that the real man would be found hiding like a low budget amateur terrorist cell.

Draw what ever conclusions you want from the articles, broadcasts and what people tell you, including my self, but please, check the sources people, the news is rife with propaganda (both for and against) at the end of this post is a link to a well balanced Associated Press article, which in my opinion is fare to both sides and truthful.

personally i was expecting him to last longer than bin laden. but i don't really have doubts that it's him. no one could cover it up if it was a look-alike, you couldn't silence him. he could proove he was still alive and this would cause the US more harm than it's worth.

 

Dictator. Not Terrorist. It's two different things.

Anyhow, I really want to hear from what the DNA test says. It's very usual for Saddam to have doubles out there, so you never know.

 

He had a massive stash of cash in the infamous hole of his... worth $75 million.

I feel sorry for his nieces and nephews who were murdered, only guilty by assosiation and claimed terrorists by Bush... that.... grrr.... *holds tongue*

I support our troops, though, and our soldiers. There out there risking their lives, and it's really not their choice as to what goes on.

Ok, just a little mention here, see the first reply? Yea that one, the longish one that you where probably to lazy to read? Notice the little link on the bottom? The one that links to an Associated Press article? One of the major unbiased news groups in the world? Well that article states quite clearly the amount found with him, whom I also sated in my post, and I quote:

"Two other Iraqis — described as low-level regime figures — were arrested in the raid, and soldiers found two Kalashnikov rifles, a pistol and $750,000 in $100 bills."

i didn't evne know anything aobut it til Sachiko told me, but it's been so long (since the search for him began) that I nearly forgot why his being caught was such a big deal anyway but i personally think that i would be more happy if osama was caught instead.

 

I heard the news a few days ago and at first I had doubts that it was actually him but I'm quite sure it is now. It's kind of nice that he's being given a fair trial but I wonder who is going to be his lawyer :glazed: Also, Bush wants Saddam to be given the ultimate sentence and killed off, but who is he? The judge? Hasn't Saddam been given POW status? I don't think that cruel and unusual punishment will be allowed by Amnesty International or the UN. I know that the verdict will be guilty but I think they should let him rot in a prison or do some kind of service for the rest of his life.. death is too easy..

 

I personally think he's better off dead; no matter how small the chance is, the chance of escape is always there. 'sides, I'm sure if he were just imprisoned for life he'd find a way to get his *** out, he's a sneaky mofo. I say we hang the *******, public execution. Or go back to good ole' quartering.

i think it's funny that he was so big on iraqies dying for the country and all, and all his supporters want to be 'martyrs', then when he gets the chance to do all little of what he preaches, he digs a hole, hides, and says 'don't shoot, i'm willing to nogotiate' when he's caught....

 

after spending all this time in his hole when he was captured he looked like **** after being the dectator he was , i hope he gets what he deserves.

yay!!!!! *jumps up and down with joy* im sooo happy...anyway i hear that they are not going to keep him here i heard they are taking him back to Irac and let the people handle it...*grins evily* you know what they are going to do. they are going to keep him alive for another fifty years just so they can torture him. i personally think they should cut slits all over his body and fill them with salt and battery acid and chop his genetelia off... mwahahahahahaha!!!!!!
