just thought id mention the fact that.. umm When you have a man in his late 40 50.. or however old sadam is.. His Beard will most likely contain a lot of gray unless he dies it black.. I have an Uncle who's Beard is almost all gray now and he is only 38. Frankly Mine comes in Red and im not even a red headed person.

Just wanted to clear that up.

And is that cash box they found.. or what is that.. those dont even look like US soldiers.. they look like UN peace Keepers.. What the Hell

just a reminder to those that go by new posts and haven't noticed this thread being moved to debates: please read the debate rules if you haven't before...from zanza's thread on, those rules will be enforced with the ruthless enthusieasm[sp] that has been used before.

About Saddam being drugged: His daughter made that claim, though I'm not sure how she would know..

When I first saw the news conference where it was announced that he had been caught ("Ladies and gentlemen.. we got him!" *cheering erupts*) I assumed it was in Washington. Later I found out that it was Paul Bremer announcing it in Baghdad to a bunch of Iraqi journalists. It wasn't a load of warmongering americans cheering his capture, but Saddam's own countrymen. I join them in rejoicing that he is out of the picture.

The Arab/Israeli war of 1973 began when Egypt and Syria (with help from 9 other arab nations) launched a surprise attack on a jewish holiday. I don't care to go into the reasons that happened, but blaming jews because something happened on one of their holidays is kinda dumb.

I'm going to ignore all the investigatory evidence that Al Qaeda was responsible for a minute. Forgetting all of that, Al Qaeda has claimed responsibility for 9-11. Either they really did it, or they are lying about it so they can look like heroes for killing 2 or 3 thousand people. Either way that is disgusting. If they are going to say they did it, they better be willing to accept the consequences.

Yes it was in Baghdad. But they where not only arab journalists, there is no chance that the international press wherent there for such a huge audence. And only the US loyal Iraqi journalists, because at the moment if anyone is openly agaisnt the US in Iraqi, there suporting saddam, and thus are being rounded up. I join my self in being skeptic about this particular issue.

    Edit: Fixing layout

actually, i'm moving this back to misc as nothing is being debated at all. it's just facts being shared as they become available and people discussing them...

Hanging him. Traditionally the rope used to hang people with is hemp rope. And fandango is a kind of dance, and its ment to be a tragic one as far as I remember, but I could be wrong on that.

And no, they can’t, and wont. It’s an African country that is very prosperous and closely tied into Europe, so they wouldn’t risk it. Odds are Uncle Sam will be doing the torturing, just not announcing it to the world, no offence but America is just corrupt, but that’s beside the point.

I wonder where they'll put him on trial... Either in Iraq or the international court.
