Anime Samuraj Fight!

Okay, maybe it's time I give a reasonable answer to this, that WON'T upset Neph XP. (btw, this IS why I choose Kenshin...)

Both of these samurai's are very, very good, but exactly what is Jack's age? if you ask me, he seems in his late 30's or early 40's. Now think about, the two would fight till they wore each other out, but since Kenshin is younger, he would last longer.

Now if Kenshin was 50 and Jack was like 20, Jack'd win. ^^

 

Samurai Jack.
Cos while Kenshin is stuck in one of those still frame shots, Samurai Jacks better animation would cut him in two.

And anyway, kenshin looks like a little girl.

And I agree with Nephilim_X-san. Don't say you like Kenshin or SJ just cause you haven't seen the other show.

Kenshin's battling is way better than SJ. So far, from what I've seen, if Kenshin went against him, he wouldn't have to move much cause SJ seems a bit slow in his fighting.

Power to SJ and Kenshin though. I like both shows!

 

I was refering to the still frames/pans on the one cell that a lot of anime use as short cuts in action scenes.
It's become a stylistic thing these days though.

 

Did I even have to think about that one? ...Kenshin all the way for me.

I seriously doubt it.
People here just prefer anime anyway, so that will get in the way. It's hardly un-biased.

Personally I'd say Jack.
Like you said he can cut through robots and crap.
And I don't think speed is an issue either, he's pretty much lightning fast.
But again I'm biased too cos I just think Jack is way cooler.

But Kenshin's so dreamy.

He DID take out that gatling gun eh? It's no robot, but it is much more realistic than some robot. Jack has some potential, it just sucks. Kenshin could take jack in less than one swing.

 

Robots? Come on... a Samurai is not really supposed to fight robots... so if teh question was "who is the better samurai"... I'd say Kenshin.

Jack may be able to slice through Kenshin... if he can manage to catch him... and plus, you ever seen Samurai X? No prob for KEnni to cut through Jack. ^_^

 

well technically Kenshin isnt a Samurai...but i still think hes better than jack which i found rather insulting. too much stereo typing of asian people...

The whole show is just paying homage to Samurai movies and anime!
Everything about the show, the characters, the music, the pacing, the shots, the whole style of it is influenced by samurai movies and anime.
It's obvious the creator is a big fan of both.
Do you really think he's trying to insult anyone?
And come on, you're not even Japanese are you?(probably not even asian)

 

actually i am thank you...and yes i know about that part but the way he speaks and just acts in general i just find insulting...

 

Well congratulations, but even though Samurai Jack isn't a parody(hell basically honouring it), the Japanese parodied their own style long before Samurai Jack.
Prooving they have a sense of humour about it and are not oversensitive and touchy.
I mean getting insulted because an american voice actor is trying to do a Japanese accent and the characer acts like a samurai from a Kurosawa movie is rediculous.
