    Lain made me trip out. That's becuase I watched it at 4 AM. Then, going to bed at 6 AM... well... it was funky. I like that series, actually. I really want the hat Lain has in the opening song. I USED TO HAVE A HAT JUST LIKE THAT!!!

    I watched it slowly, on DVDs rented from Netflix :D I just savoured it and went with the flow. If you hated 2001, you might hate Lain. I would agree with Odin: by the end [***could be considered a spoiler though I mention no plot details***] it was certainly not depressing [/*** end possible spoiler with no plot details***]

    when I saw this in University anime club, my friend told me he saw Lain as a 'Jesus figure' quite possibly there are some connections. yet I need to see this show from beginning to end once more. ^__^

    lol, my school's anime club just showed it and we have a lot of newbies to anime. All they know is sailor moon, pokemen etc. Well anyway we had one person crying and then a teacher banned it. :anger2: So anyway now we are in trouble for showing it and are being blamed for lying about the religous content.

    This is not a lie, it actually happened. :blush2:

    I think that lain poses more questions then answers about how technology affects life, but that's what i think.

    Yeah we think the guy was a little slow in the head, he is always mumbling to himself and doing weird stuff. Also even though we are in Canada there are idiots, they are like vermin, they get everywhere especially if they have some kind of power. If a teacher thinks something is wrong and doesn't think its politicaly correct they will try and get rid of it. Our club explained the basic story line to the watchers and warned them. So when the teachers found out they watched it and then banned it.

    But we'll show them, we're going to bring Puni Puni Pome and Golden Boy, that will show them to let us watch what we want. :anger2:
