Manga shoujo manga

Have you ever read any?

 

I have read lots of shoujo manga. It is my favorite kind. I am pretty sure all the ones I am about to mention are considered shoujo manga:

Maison Ikkoku
Fushigi Yugi
Peach Girl
Angelic Layer

Some manga that I have read that might be considered at least half shoujo are:

Ranma 1/2
Love Hina
Oh My Goddess

And there is lots more I want to start reading, for example:

Lum
Wedding Peach (do they even have a manga form of this?)

Can't think of any others.

 

I've read some Marmalade Boy.

I've also heard of MARS - I'm told that it's good, but I can't give any support to that opinion in any way.

Even though I'm a guy i still like Shoujo....I've read some Marmalade Boy and Saint Tail....or whatever it's called......

 

Oh and MARS is a good one to.....is Chobits a Shoujo Manga????

I also want to start reading Mars and Marmalade Boy. My library does not have Marmalade Boy though. It does have Mars, bu it is taking so dang long for it to get to be my turn to have it.
I am also going to start reading a shoujo by the name of W Juliet (aka Double Juliet). It is not realeased here in the US, yet, but there is a site that has scanlations you can download. I am still trying to figure out if I am supposed to read it from left to right or right to left though.

That's it! I'm more of a shonen manga fan...

Most of the manga I currently own is shoujo, although I do like a bunch of shounen titles as well. Sadly, I have yet to read most of the stuff I own...eh heh heh....

Still, I'm currently reading Fruits Basket (very slowly), and I've read Imadoki! (with translation) and Wish (also with translation). I've also got Nurse Angel Ririka SOS and the first volume of Kodomo no Omocha.

What I'm reading the most quickly at the moment is Saiyuki by Kazuya Minakura. It's aimed at high-school age girls (at least the anime is), but I think it's published in a shonen magazine so it technically counts as shonen. Don't quote me on that, however. ^_^

::chuckles:: Angelic Layer is actually shounen manga (it's published in a shounen magazine). I believe Chobits, Love Hina, and Ranma 1/2 are also shounen, not shoujo. The best way to tell is to see what magazine they're serialized in in Japan, since some series are ambiguous.

Currently, I would go both ways, except the only manga I have at the moment is Inuyasha and I know that's shounen. I'm aiming to read Saiyuki, though (which could be either, as Shadowbard said).

Wow, i had no clue Angelic Layer was a shounen manga. It seems girly to be a guys....ahh well its still really good!

Those are some shoujo manga that i know unless im mistaken about some of them.

 

Ok as some of you have read I just bought Ceres Celestial Legand, but that is not the important thing here. The thing is on the back of this manga it clearly says and I quote; "Yuu Watase, immensly popular writer/artist of the shoujo (girls') fanstasy smash Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play,...."
So form that statement it cleraly says that Fushigi Yugi is a shoujo manga. I just thought I might clear that up with anybody who thought it was a shounen or who were just confused on which one it was.

 

Oh, I'm sure most of us here knew Yuu Watase was a shoujo writer. How could she *not* be? ^_^

Mars(on my tbr list though I do own the first one if that counts)

I like shoujo the best I think, though I like shonen too, Evangelion is one of my all time favs as well, so I like everything I guess.
