Yes, Fruits Basket is an excellent series. *looks at stacks of volumes* I really should start seriously reading it, as I have through volume 8 in my possession right now, and will have through volume 11 shortly.

Of course, I also have the first four volumes of Kodomo no Omocha to read (untranslated). And Saiyuki RELOAD volume 1. And D.N.Angel, and Wild Adapter, and Lagune Engine.....

I swear I had a gleam in my eyes as I stared at all the Furuba manga... @_@

I bought 1-3 and 10 (shoulda gotten 11 though, as I heard it's a better volume). I know most of the story and have already read 4-5 so I didn't feel like getting them just yet... but eventually, I hope to have every Furuba manga up to the latest volume. :]

shoujo mangas can be good/exciting or really boring.....

Really boring:
Cardcaptor Sakura ....although lots of ppl like it....and the drawings are very cute...the story is boring (I think)

wow too bad. Clamp school dectectives is a very good series so far. i own the 1st manga and i love it!! my sister didn't like it much. Tokyo mew mew was also very good and cute too. the art is amazing. still i'm trying to figure out if kish is a guy or a girl. anyone know? Fruits Basket? I can't wait to buy!! It's taking forever cuz i have no money!! wah wah!!! I wanna good paying job!!

 

Im beginning to read Shoujo manga, thanks to Suzu who gave me the first manga i read which is Call me princess. I also read Fushigi Yuugi, but didnt finish it cuz I wanted the Anime ^_^;;; Now Im reading Fruits Basket, which the most greatest manga so far. And Alice 19th, very interesting and super kawaii characters *drools over Furei*. Another Shoujo manga I'm reading is Good morning call, it started out great, but umm... I guess Im losing interest with the story. Last but not least, Kare Kano. I finally found the manga that continues after the anime's ending

I don't think I can list all the shoujo I've read. I love Shoujo mangas... they're hilarious. ^_^ No one has mentioned Tokyo Mew Mew yet! It comes with everything from unshy fruity bishies to cherry blossoms in teh backgrounds. ^^ And Kare Kano, too... also known as His and Her Circumstances. Everyone else says it's so boring... but I'm somewhat intruiged by high schoolers with problems and odd love stories.

 

I knowticed that a few people mentioned Inu-yasha and I wanted to point out that Inu-yasha is not a shoujo manga (the publisher is even called "Shonen Sunday"). Here are a few more manga's I have been reading lately.

-Gokusen
-Kimi wa Pet

 

Shojo Manga is basically what I read.
My favorites so far are:

The only Shojo I've found thus far that's really even worth reading or getting involved with is Angel Sanctuary. Words of any language cannot describe how wonderful it is to finally see the translated manga being released.

Shoujo manga is my FAVORITE kind of manga ever. Period.

I've read...

Sailormoon (some -- favorite is book/volume/tankoubon 11)
Magic Knight Rayearth (not MKRII)
Clover (all)
Fushigi Yuugi (vols 1 and 2)

And I've seen oodles of pictures of Ayashi no Ceres (I want to read it BADLY). I also want to read Ai Tenshi Densetsu Wedding Peach, the rest of Fushigi Yuugi (LOVE), Jewel Quest, Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Magic Knight Rayearth II (I never did finish that season of the anime), Wish, maybe some Cardcaptor Sakura...

Shoujo manga is love. <3 ^_^
