Being new to these forums, I have been reading through some of the other posts. This one being here before I got here I scanned through some of the artwork. I thought all of it was amazing, especially Superfly's sketch of the spirit. That was inspirational and made me want to devote more of my time to my art and learn as much as I can.

    Great Sketches everyone!

Okay so I was so inspired by Superfly's mikasketch that I done this sketch as a sorta idea of my own...

That's a really nice picture Ace, probably the best of your submissions so far. Your showing flair, keep up the good work.

Why thank you Shen for that positive comment, I only try to experiment with new ideas. I have only really started getting into art after taking a course in school, before that I rarely sketched at all. But i have found something I want to develop my skills in and M2A's art community looks like a solid place to start.

Why does your guy have a blindfold Superfly, my guy was a remarkable archer and due to this an enemy swung at his face with a sword and got the eye eaving a scar, now he wears the sorta bandage to relieve others of the sight of his scarred eye and also it mkaes him look cool. He is still an archer but has a companion, a falcon or eagle, some kind of bird of prey who makes him more aware of his surroundings so he can protect himself with deadly accuracy with the sound of the birds cry as his guide. I just sketched it on Friday, it is uncanny the similarity, maybe there was a reason for this? Some link, that we should have drawn similar characters.

It would be cool to work on some stuff with you Superfly as my technique needs vast improvement... maybe you could give me some tips.

It's more of a training material for my character, to improve his reflexes and to rely on his hearing-capabilities.
It's not really a history for him, it's just been the training method of his Order...

Oh, okay my guy relies on his hearing in order to actually fight so it is kinda the same, here is a new sketch, he looks a little happier...

Well rangers need their hearing in the first place =P

Other nice feature on my character is that he became immune to pain. How?
First of all, this is 100% possible to do and has been tested by scientists...

After birth, he immediately became part of an experiment where he was litterally surrounded by pillows, keeping him from any sort of harm and pain.
When he passed the age of physical developement where the nerval system develops pain-receptors, he became immune to pain.
With that as his major oppertunity, he developed his own combo, which first requires him to dislocate his arms, then he flashes his amazing footwork into a combo, making his body move like a river of quicksilver...
Why the dislocation? Confusement of the opponent, he sees alot of extra movement, which also are unpredictable...

Phew, I suck at english :dizzy2:

Very... fascinating although it creates a very spine chilling imagery, if you could sketch that I would be impressed, but maybe the actual image might be enough to put me in shock. Really like the idea. Your imagination is really in depth, which I think allows you to create such wonderful art. Wish I had half the imagination u have...

Well I based it on an experiment they did on puppies.
Like I said, they kept them safe from getting hurt in ANY possible way (they couldn't bump against anything or so, never got hurt) and they were also kept seperated. Why do puppies play/fight with eachother? Right, to develop their nerval system and pain-reception.
When that time was over, they were put together, and played with eachother, they bit eachother, but none felt pain.
When they snuffled at a burning candle, they couldn't feel their nosehairs burn off either...

So that's where I based myself on for Quil... Hehe, he's a good guy though...

I was really getting on about the dislocation part, but your knowledge and insight into this ghast... fascinating topic is quite impressive. Quil, the character in your Manga Never End, I think he is a very deep character.
