Naruto Spoiler Thread: Kakashi's Eye

It's not so much doing it. The question is really, who did he take the eye from? I'm sure there wasn't any organ donor plan going around the Uchiha's place... And plus, it could be from someone dead, because it dosen't matter if their chakra flow stopped. It would be stopped anyway when removed, right? And Kakashi would have to supply an efficient amount of chakra anyway... Also, it's connecting optic nerves- it's not something you can do so easily. The person who they took the eye from would have to be very identical to Kakashi in many ways; blood type, eye width, ect ect. Because often, two eyes can't work together.

But you know, who said it was scientifically accurate? ^_^ The point is, though, where'd he get the eye?

 

From what I remember, Kakashi would have had to have the eye put in him as a kid because it is said his only non-stolen move is the Chidori. I don't know, I just felt like bring this up because it makes me think of how might have given it to him.

 

Well, when he confronted Itachi (it might've been Orochimaru), he said, "I see you've gotten your hands on one of those eyes...."

Also, in the movie (WHICH COMES OUT TODAY, WOOOOOOOT!) I've heard teen Kakashi dosen't have a Sharingan eye.

So... it must've been after the murder of the Uchiha clan.
Meaning it was from a dead Uchiha, unless Sasu-chan and Itachi aren't the only two left.

 

Well, Kakashi always talks about his friend who has died. May there be a connection there? And there may be alive Uchihas at the time of Itachi's genocide. After all, there are Uchiha ninja who could have been on missions, no?

And I believe it was Orochimaru who commented on Kakashi's eye after Kakashi sealed Orochimaru's cursed seal on Sasuke - after his preliminary match.

Good point. I wish we knew more about his friends. o_0 Aren't they probably the kiddos in that little picture with him and his genin cell? Have you seen that?

Well, I considered that... since he's always at Obito's grave... and that WAS before the massacre.

But even if Obito died, why would Kakashi take his eye? Maybe Obito told him to... but that's still kinda odd.

Best solution I can agree to, though. *shrug*

 

I have a quick question. Since everyone here knows alot about Naruto I wanted to know if anyone knows who Itachi was talking about when he said there were 3 people that could obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan? He included himself, Sasuke, and somebody else. Do you think it is Kakashi? Please voice your opinion.

 

I believe that Itachi said handle, not use, the last time I looked at that part of the manga. And Kakashi did indeed handle the Mangekyou Sharingan. (he's still alive, isn't he?) He is also the one most likely to even have Sharingan at that time, after Itachi's slaughter.

Okay, Kakashi got the scar from fighting an opponent and not from a surgery...

The eyeball belongs to Obito (that's sounds weird), and Rin might have "plugged it into Kakashi's socket" using a special medical jutsu ... just a weird speculation...

 

Well the reason how he got the eye answered. Now a new mystery unfolds. The change in his eye.

Is Kakashi eye like Itachi? I thought it was but maybe it only has changed like Sasuke while he was fighting Naruto. I doubt Kakashi would kill his best friend. During the fight Sasuke eye did change like Itachi. And the manga the Kakashi eye is like Itachi. *See Image* The thing is though Sasuke attempted to kill or wanted to kill Naruto to obtain the eye. Itachi said you need to kill your best friend. I am thinking now he just likes to go to the extreme. So who would Kakashi have attempted to kill Gai? I think that Kakahi found another way.

 

Well, from what I've been able to gather about the sharingan, it will evolve as the user increases in power. This can be seen in both Sasuke and Kakashi.

Sasuke - When he first manifested the sharingan in his fight with Haku it was incomplete--two spiral dots in one eye and a single spiral dot in the other. Some time later it has evolved so there are two spiral dots in each eye. During his big fight with Naruto before the two year jump in the story, Sasuke gains the "complete" sharingan with three spiral dots in each eye.

Kakashi - From the events in 'Kakashi Gaiden' (manga chapters 239 to 244) we learn that when Kakashi first got the eye it only had two spiral dot things. However, every time he's used it in the current timeframe it has the "complete" three spiral dot form. Therefore it is obvious that sharingan can continue to evolve even if the person using the eye is not a member of the Uchiha family.

And then there are the most recent events...evidently, Kakashi learned some other way to activate mangekyou sharingan because he can use it now. Just not as accurately as Itachi can. Somehow I doubt that Obito's death could be retroactively applied in this case, and Kakashi isn't insane/stupid enough to think that greater power would be worth killing his closest friend for.

Well, it seems that the jutsu that Kakashi used on Deidara in Chapter 276, as Deidara once stated that that jutsu has Itachi level powers meaning its strong, but it seemed that Iachi's version is much stronger and doesn't drain him. It was a sick attack.

 

Well said. I figured it was something like that but didn't know how to word it right. It makes me wonder what are the other levels for the eye.

It seams that Itachi wanted some twisted pleasure out of it. Or maybe he didn't realize that is how it went. The people who wrote that parchment didn't either. Or maybe they did. When you get to the point of wanting to kill your best friend (lately we have been seeing rival) maybe some twisted Sharingan holder before hand wrote the parchment maybe you deserve that power. But I still don't see how they can live with that knowledge. So maybe it wasn't a twisted holder after all.

Obviously in 3 years things change. Kakashi wasn't born with that eye so that leds us to believe he will struggle longer with trying to control it.

I am happy they finally answered how he got the eye. Now if we could only see what is behind that mask.
