I got bad karma for making a birthday thread, and you don't hear me complaining about it.. There is no actual way to monitor the karma giving to see if it's fair or not.

Getting bad karma here and there doesn't hurt, as I said before. Karma doesn't change much. What I mean by that is, if you somehow end up with -999 karma, you will not be automatically banned or anything. Karma itself does not affect administrative decisions. Your posts, however, do.

 

I got a fair few bad points a while ago but i think i really deserved them.

I think that if people give you bad karma because they don't agree with your opinion is the wrong way to go about giving karma. But if you do something rally stupit then you deserve to get bad karma. It just labels you as to what kind of poster you are.

 

So basically the karma system is just dead weight?
If the karma system really has no impact on anything, what is the point?

 

I guess i think it is a way for people to express thier opinion about you annomously I think I abuse that power.

i was wondering why users have to request custom av's in the first place?. it seems to just make unnecesary work for BMS. why not just let ppl upload whatever they want, when they want?. lots of forums work on this, with a program that wont let you upload an av outside the perameters set by admin, and the boards are fine. if n00bs want to upload an new dbz av each day i don't really see the problem. .
it just seems strange....

Because we cant program VB to only allow anime-related avatars or to reject hentai based or other potentially offensive avatars.

Are you mad? I want my custom av so badly!! I like graphics and I do a lot of avs a day for the diff. forums and this is the only one that won't let me!! :anger2:

i think it would be cool to have a spot to talk about books, and literature in general. maybe everyone else disagrees?

 

We already have one. It's called the Fiction / Writing forum.

I've suggested in the past renaming said forum "literature". This would really open it up a little more, I think.

 

I'm not sure if I did such when this was first suggested (I thought I did but I could be wrong) but yeah, I'm in support of that little suggestion, whole-heartedly.

 

Youv'e got to prove yourself worthy. we have lots of bloody kids that just come her like 3 times and then they stop posting. its too much work for BMS. Just be patient and wait till you've got enough posts.

Renaming a forum from fiction/writing to litrature would be ummm not needed I cant say it another way cuz I dont know how! a...if you rename the forum from one thing to another it will still be given the same approach when written in and that is "writing" that word basically says it all if fiction sways it to much then take it away but no matter what you call it I would post in that section just the same (I really suck in that area so I will shut up now :anime: )

 

I am behind chiquitabanana 100 and ten PeRcEnT with this issue custom avs would be a huge problem unless dedication was put into the account...im spent I would only repeat myself happy postings
