    i must be honest, except for the face that im not anti-war or whatnot, i think its kinda funny. like with bush on the rocket and whatever.

    That is sad that something like that was posted under my name. And to answer this thread, I have also seen this music video. How could someone not like that song? But i think that since they had random people say "Boom", it kind of threw me off. Oh well. This war will hopefully finish soon.

    I have mixed feelings about System of a Down. In many cases, I either really like the music but don't like the lyrics, or I like the lyrics but don't like the music. Like Boom - I like the lyrics, and I like some of the messages that SOAD is trying to get across, but I just don't dig the actual sound of Boom. That, and some songs are bad. Like F*** the system . . . I don't think it's a good song at all, lyric wise and music wise. And other songs they do are just stupid - sure, it's meant to be in a humorous way, but I don't dig music that's stupid/silly/nonsensical to be funny, UNLESS it is done in a really clever way (like some of Tom Lehrer's stuff - some of that's priceless!).

    I like SOAD and i liked the video to though i do think this war is for the better.

    eh I used to like these guys.
    I saw them live and that's all it took for me to realise that they suck.

    Lyricly and musically they just irritate me now.
    When the guitar player started chanting "**** the system" and then all the kiddies started chanting with him I really wanted to throw my beer at him but he wasn't worth it.
    Where's a bottle of urine when you need it eh.

    Lyricly I don't mind bands being political, I listen to plenty of bands that have political messages in their songs, it's just they pull it off so stupidly they just seem ignorant.

    And musically they're just average.

    I've kinda stopped listening to them. B/c of their videos about peace and stuff. I don't agree with their views.

    anyway It really wouldn't matter, I only download their stuff.

    Their first album was good.Their new one just plain blows,though.They shed their originality for the same old sound.Too bad.

    yeh i like em. i only have/heard their first cd but i really like it ^_^ i like their music and how they're not afraid to sing about lots of different issues. yay for them! :p

    gots them all...even all the stupid releases for toxicity o_O (i screwed up and accidently bought the regular at one place, then went and bought the first special edition. then, 2 months later..or so...another one came out...snagged that...then the third came out...i cursed a little, and because i'm just a ***** for my music, i bought that one too XD)

    the new one is neat...i laugh at cigaro and violent porn everytime still. heh b.y.o.b. is cool though ^^ it's a pretty good album though.

    second disc, Hypontize, is out this september XD

    I'm a big fan of System because they're awesome...And they're prog. I'm a huge fan of coheed and cambria, so Prog is my favorite genre of music right now.

    umm...i can pretty much say that if system is prog, i'm going to break every cd of thiers i own. and after listening to almost everything century media does on the prog side, and working in a music store for 4 years and being a fan, i think i can safely say they aren't prog.

    ...yeah, they're totally not Prog at all.

    Anyways, I like their first album, thought that Toxicity was mediocre, hated Steal This Album!, and I haven't picked up the new one yet, but I have the two singles (BYOB and Cigaro). I think they're pretty good (the singles and the band), but I hate their skewed political views.




    Cigaro's lyrics are amusing.

    Something I was wondering...is the other album they're releasing later this year going to have more new material, or is it going to be like, older recordings/remixes/other stupid stuff like that that no one wants?
